We have to grow our economy and the private sector. This is news for washington, d. C. Government people do not create jobs. Jobs are created in the private sector. [applause] i have created jobs only in the private sector. I started smalles businesses. I started an insurance business. I started a real estate company. You started so Many Companies because you cannot keep a job. [laughter] i hear you back there, scott. I hear you. If we are going to rebuild our economy i have a plan called build, not borrow. We borrow too much money from china. We have to build an america. We have lost over 100,000 factories in the last 25 years. Devastating our nation and devastating South Carolina where we lost mill after mill after mill. If we were to rebuild our economy, my plan is to create 10 million new jobs in three specific areas. The first one is unleash all of Americas Energy asset. Lets not be energy independent. The energy dominant. Lets export and create 3 million highpaying american jobs here at home in the good old usa. Number one. [applause] number two. Between four and 5 million new hightech high manufacturing jobs. We do that by continuing to work on our tax code. It needs to come down a little bit more. I wrote the tax cuts and jobs act. One of three people that actually wrote the bill. The former president signed it and i wrote it. Taking it from 25 to 21. We reduced every bracket on the personal side. Going to the lowest in the country. A 70 year low. We did not tell anybody, by the way. The great opportunity delivered the greatest most exclusive economy in the country. And did not tell a soul. We would have to reduce our taxes on the corporate side. So that we would bring back those factories back to america so that we can compete against china by having to have supplychain resiliency. That means we must learn to depend on our western alliances, not on people who want to eliminate us. I call that common sense. 10 million jobs. The economy of 5 which adds trillions to your economy, billions to the treasury and reduces inflation. Inflation is so high because biden, on his first act passed a 1. 9 trillion covid release package. The only thing missing was covid release. [laughter] 1. 7 trillion. The progressive radical left priorities in the mail. I always said that a switch is a southern apparatus of encouragement. I will leave it there. Sending a 16 hour day as a nurse is a weird which is all she did for 16 hours. Slightly more. She believes she could do it more herself. She could not ask for help if you could do it yourself. If you are able body in america, you work. My mom taught me that. If you take out a loan, you pay it back. [applause] now, she said, she meant it to be condescending, by the way. Boy, if you commit a violent crime, you go to jail. That makes common sense. The speaker before me i consider commonsense american values. If god made you a man, you play sports against men. These are the kinds of values i grew upus with. [applause] my mother taught me you can be a victim or you can be victorious but you cannot be both. We chose victorious. My grandfather born in the jim crow south. Segregated south in 1921, my parents divorced, we moved in with them. You have a choice. You c can get better or you can get better. That was a man without any formal education. If you have faith in god, faith in yourself and faith in what america will one day be, all things are possible. While we have people here today that dont believe what he knew 50 years ago, it stuns me. All of this nonsense about division and discrimination. I am just saying that america is not a racist country. E] we have made so much progress. Let me close this question by simply saying this. There is something sinister in nature thatin is been growing in our country. The radical left wants to use race and power, race and class to hold onto their power and will use any group of people, any issue, any individual to hold their political power even at the expense of the american people. You look at johnsons great society. It devastated poor families spirit particularly black families because it required the husband and the father to leave the house for the check to come in the mail. You can now measure that devastation and unemployment and crime and in fatherlessness. It is almost like they want a valueless faceless fatherless america. Spreading to other men communities all across this country. My mother taught me that the harder you work, the luckier you get. Thank god almighty you were born in the right country. Because youd are not all of that ouand you need a bag of chips. [laughter] that is what im sticking with. Leave it to mama for speaking truth. I heard it in the halls when people were meeting you. You have the reputation. Focus on the Cable Tv Network talk about it all the time. You are a nice guy. I am i grew up and really tough neighborhoods. It means that i understand the pain and the misery of failure. N optimism keeps you going when everyone around you it seems to be going in the wrong direction. When i was growing up, some of my good friends, they were shot. Murder. Buried. Others were incarcerated. To get out of that neighborhood, to be tough. If you are not optimistic, if you do not believe america will afford you an opportunity that is beyond your circumstances you have to quit. The metal forged under fire. You dont see that on the debate stage where people are having a food fight. You will see that when things are going well. You want to seal real metal find an optimist that is gone through the fire y and that purging process. It makes youen appreciate beingn american citizen because i know that this is anywhere else in the world. You cannot start out in the proverbial wrong side of the track. Almost fail out of school. Watch your friends devastated and have a mother who says i brought you in this world, i can take you out. [laughter] when you have that kind of upbringing, you become optimistic. Real fast. [laughter] it changes everything. I will tell you this, America Needs clear powerful strong positive leadership who believes in the future more than they do their Rearview Mirror of the past. If we continue to be a bunch of victims like the left wants us ton be and a few on the right,e will miss it. We are not a nation in decline under biden, we are a nation retreating from our values from personal responsibility, from hard work deyears all we have to do is go from president carter to president reagan and the lights come back on.
