Three months ago we came to the states to launch our plan to bring bac back main street by cutting taxes for American Families and Small Businesses. Today i come back to this state spend an afternoon with its amazing citizens, to help push our plan for the tax cuts right across the finish line. With your help we can usher in a new era of opportunity and growth for the nation that we love so much. Tax cuts have already passed the house of representatives. [applause] [cheering] the eyes of the world now turn to the United States senate. A vote in the senate this week will bring us one giant step closer to delivering an incredible victory for the American People. Massive tax cuts and reform. People dont know exactly what we are talking about. For years they havent been able to give tax cuts and the problem was they talked about tax reform, not a tax cut. I said dont college reform, called tax cuts and reform so every once in a while we added the name reform, but its tax cuts. [applause] [cheering] we cannot sit idly by and watch ourselves losing in competition to other countries as they continue to take away our jobs because their tax codes are more competitive and less burdensome than ours. Thats why we must cut our taxes, reduce economic burdens and restore the competitive age. We are going to do that its already happening. People get it. [applause] if we do this, then america will win again like never before. [applause] [cheering] a vote to cut taxes is a vote to put America First again. We want to do that, we want to put America First. Its time to take care of our workers, to protect our communities and rebuild our great country. Weve spent almost 7 trillion in the middle east over the last years. Taking care of it, we are doing numbers like isis has never seen before. We are wiping them out. [applause] [cheering] all of that we have spent almost 7 trillion. We could have rebuilt the country four times over. We are going to start spending here. [applause] [cheering] that being said we are going to protect the country whether it is north korea, we are going to protect the country like never before, build up the military and make a product here and make the planes and boats and everything here but we are going to build up our military. [cheering] [applause] dot weve got to start focusing on our country. Thats why im saying America First. Make America Great again. [applause] weve never heard that expression before. [applause] [cheering] that was a good expression and true. Its already happening ahead of schedule. Some numbers came out people havent seen in many years. The city is the Perfect Place to deliver the message that i want to deliver it it to the place we americas past and future come to life, one that is historic. On these three streets in 1804 the Great American explorers lewis and clark gathered their final supplies before setting out on their very historic expedition of discovery. I have to say i didnt know that until two days ago. [cheering] now the world is watching. Look at old fake new all the fak there. [laughter] [cheering] today more than two centuries later a new generation of american pioneers begins its own adventures gathering inside of the startup startups and storeff main streets across the country blazing new trails in totally uncharted territory of business and technology and once again leading the nation into a future of limitless potential. Its the greatest country. I love this country so much. [applause] our country wasnt treated properly for a long time. We are treating it properly, we are treating it with one of and treating it with this. [applause] [cheering] to be just atoday just as it has been, main street is the heart of the economy, the soul of the community and the birthplace of american dreams. Over the years, crippling taxes, massive regulations and totally disastrous trade deals. I get a headache thinking about who made these deals one after another. At the wonderful deal with south korea over number they said it would produce 200,000 jobs. We lost 200,000 jobs. It turned some of the businesses mean streets into empty ghost towns. Now we have a onceinlifete opportunity to restore arica prosperity and reclaim the great destiny. Weve already made great progress far greater than i would have thought. I will tell you this without bragging. Theres never been a ten month president that has accomplished what we have accomplished. [applause] [cheering] today in the stock market has reached another record alltime high. [applause] [cheering] the Unemployment Rate nationwide has the lowest its been in 17 years. [cheering] in 13 states this year have seen unemployment drop to the lowest levels in the history of their state and i hate to tell you that missourbutmissouri happensf them. [applause] [cheering] we have created nearly 2 million jobs. We used to lose millions and now weve created 2 million i want to say since you won the election. We will create countless more that we can sustain the 3 growth rate we have achieved for the past two quarters, but we will do much better than that. Remember i used to say we could hit four or three and they were all saying forget it. It was 1. 2, doing terribly, we were flat or even and in all fairness the stock market was going this way. Now we are hitting numbers nobody thought possible, certainly not in this time and numbers going up are going to be better than any that he anticipates. In fact they are going to say trump is the opposite of an exaggerator, exact opposite. [applause] they will say he ought to be a little bit more optimistic because his predictions were low. A year and a half ago they were saying he cant do that and now they are saying that his quick but by the way the Commerce Department announced this morning that our gdp grew even faster than they reported previously. They made a mistake, they have it at 3 . Did you ever think you would hear that in less than a year . And now it comes in at 3. 3 which is the largest increase in many years. [applause] and if we didnt have the hurricanes we would have been at 4 . They were devastating and i said there was a point where it was played 006 but i said there was a point he woul we would have b mediand even over 4 that we had hurricanes we took care of them in texas and florida they did a great job, amazing job, tremendous leadership and we are very proud. Puerto rico is a tough situatioh situation because of the fact that it was in very bad shape before the storms ever hit but they are doing well and its healing and its Getting Better and we are getting them power and all the things they have to have but i want to tell you theres a lot of brave people in every state. We have great people and its our number one resource. [applause] but in order to achieve this bright and growing future, the Senate Must Pass the tax cuts to bring main street back and that is what is going to happen. This is all done without the tax cuts and im not sure people even believe the tax cuts. The big day will either be tomorrow or the next day. I would say do it now. We are ready. I know they get hit hard, the senators to the congressman, but they are all working hard. Its not so easy. Its complicated stuff that we have an incredible session yesterday and thats why i said can we do the vote today. They said how about friday and i said i dont want to wait until friday. Then what happens if goes into this Beautiful Committee in the pot we mix it up and stir it up and bring all the best things out and youre going to have something i predict that will be really special. So, right now [applause] [cheering] right now americas tax code is a total dysfunctional mess. The Current System has cost the nation millions of american jobs, trillions of dollars and billions of hours wasted on paperwork and compliance. It is riddled with loopholes that let a special interest including myself in all fairne fairness, believe me this is not good for me. I have some very wealthy friends also happy with me but thats okay. I keep hearing this is for the wealthy. Well if it is, my friends dont know about it. I have to explain why. Now it is great for companies because companies are going to bring back jobs and we are lowering the rate varies substantially. That right now we are bringing the rate down from 35 which is totally noncompetitive, the highest industrialized nation in the world by far and we are bringing ibringing it all the wo 20 . [applause] [cheering] thats good for everybody in the room whether you have a company or what a shock because we are going to bring back jobs. What we have had a massive giveaway to the Foreign Countries which encourage businesses to relocate and you have seen what has happened. Before this because as bad as our tax code is, we have played out, big Car Companies coming back iback into building plantsn michigan and other places, we have a lot of businesses coming back and did they see whats going on. It is a giant selfinflicted economic wound that has been there for so many years nobody wanted to do anything about it but all that will change if congress say tax cut and reform bill, the biggest in the history of the country. If they send it to my desk i promise all the people in this room, i promise you i will sign it. [applause] [cheering] there will be no veto it will be as much as 2,000. That is a lot. [applause] [cheering] now we are doing that not just to help people but because it helps our country. We are going to be great is for business. Wait until you see the final product that comes out in what i call the mixer. We are going to make sure you have a job that you want. In education we now have a choice. Here youre going to have a choice of many jobs. The first 12,000 earned by a single individual will be totally income taxfree. And a married couple wont pay one dime of income tax on the first 25,000 of income. [applause] our plan will significantly increase the Child Tax Credit and make it available to more middleclass families because the single most important investment in our nation can make us in our children. And our children. Do you agree . [applause] families will also benefit from a new credit for other defendantor other dependentslikn overly loved one. We have our mothers and fathers, you have your grandparents, people with her elderly that have done a fantastic job. Theyve grown old, you want to help them and now we are going to help you help. [applause] [cheering] i think my accountants are going crazy right now. Some of my wealthy friends care. This is a higher calling. Do we agree . [applause] its made a big difference. We want a tax code that is simple and fair. The plan senators will be voting on this week closes the loopholes corporations used to shift their products and it eliminates deductions for the ceo salaries over 1 million a. Thethey go to the board and tell everybody what a great job they are doing and many of them honestly i dont like. [laughter] some of these bankers i dont like them and they are making a fortune and its one of those things. We are giving them a great and a Strong Economy and because we have cut regulations more than any president in the history of the country by far in this for full term it allows builders too building farmers to farm the. You know what im talking about, not anymore and it allows bankers someone came up to m me and said we had a 20 year relationship with the bank never had a default, now we go back to the bank and they say we can do business with you anymore because they dont cooperate even though they are better than the people that do qualify. Its incredible, but we are back to the strong base of the banks and not the days of trouble before that. We are back where bankers can make loans and communities can make great wounds to good people. You saw what happened recently where a Certain Agency or bureau that was causing so much trouble to lenders where they couldnt land it was devastating. They were going out of business. We are taking care of that and we won the lawsuit so that will make it. Weve got to get back to business. [applause] our focus is on helping the folks who work in th in the mais and machine shops of america, plumbers, carpenters, teachers, chuck drivers, pipefitters, the people that lik liked me best. [applause] actually, the rich people dont like me and thats fine. I like this trade. But the people that like me bese best are those people, the workers, the people i understand the best of the people i grew up with some of those are the people i worked with on construction sites. [applause] [cheering] all of the people who give their best each and every day to take care of their family and the countries they love, these are incredible people. They came out to vote for me and for us. People that worke work hard, tw, three jobs that havent voted in many years because they didnt have anybody they wanted to vote for. I will never forget they came out in tennessee, a great congressman told me he said i tell you what, we just went through four days of early voting. At the time it was mr. Trump and now they say mr. President if the other parts of the country are like whats happening in tennessee, people are coming from all over tennessee, they havent voted in years and now they have trump passed and everything. He said ive never seen anything like it and ive been a politician for a lot of years. If its anything like tennessee, you will have one hell of a victory that turns out like that. [applause] [cheering] it turned out to be a lot like missouri. [applause] i promised when he gets it going and have it in good shape everybody said youve got to beat him. I said when youre ready you have my word im going to come here and campaigned with you. [applause] [cheering] weve got to get un. [applause] not enough for the middle class to keep getting my. We want them to start getting ahead. We are going to have them start getting way ahead. Under our plan, middleclass families will not only see the tax bill go down, they will see their incomes go up by an average of around 4,000. [applause] thats because we are going to cut taxes on american businesses so they will compete for workers, raise salaries, the business is going to be happy into the workers are going to be happy and that country is going to be a happy place also we are going to have strong borders, please remember that. [applause] [cheering] a lot of people say now that he got elected is he going to build a wall . Absolutely, i think more so. Its not easy dealing with the democrats. They want people coming into the country they dont care where they come from they want t wone been floated to the country, raise your taxes, they dont want to take care of the military and all they are doing is obstructing. They may obstruct, but weve gotten through all the obstruction so far and we will keep it going. [applause] [cheering] today america has one of the least competitive tax rates on planet earth, 60 higher we brought back 250 in contracts. Thats going to be over detroit in dollars very soon. Thats a good week and a halfs worth. So Many Companies came back and im very proud of them an. We are doing great. But at the same time, we are going to fix the trade because it is unfair. We are getting killed on trade and so wso we are going to fix e unless anybody would like to continue with this horrible situation that we have. Our plan is america from the back of the pack and it will bring us right to number one where we were for years with where we havent been for decades. We are going to be right back at number one. [applause] [cheering] we are going to work on trade but also military. When we defended nations that are very wealthy if we do it for almost nothing. Why are we defending them . We love them. I wont mention names but theres a lot of them. One of them has a cash flow that they say is unsustainable its so large. How would you like an unsustainable cash flow they dont know what to do with their money and we defend them. Lets get a change. They are going to treat us fairly and pay for their defense. Does that make sense . [applause] a lot of this was many years ago when we defended a defeated country then they became strongg and rich and we kept the same defense. What happened . Why didnt anybody go in and negotiate . When i was in asia, i spoke to a couple about this and it was like this. That means they know they are getting away with murder, and theyve got to start helping us out. So if you dont mind, i will start bringing that up with some of our good friends. [applause] we are going to cut the tax rate to the very competitive number of 20 as i said, an if we are going to create jobs in factories will be pouring into the country. A lot of people think it is going to happen. I dont want to say anything. Im not going to talk about it. We will have health care. Its going to happen as soon as we get the taxes, its going to happen. We thought we had the votes and then something happened strange. And its not going to happen. [applause] we will go into welfare reform. Unless he doesnt want to . You have a lot of friends up there also cutting taxes for Small Businesses the file as individuals it will be better and better. The tax burden on businesses of all sizes and as a candidate i pledge to fight for american jobs. Possibly the number one reason i got elected and i think we have done a lot of better at this point anybody thought possible 2 million more jobs since the election nobody expected that. Excuse me i didnt even expect that. [laughter] but when you cut regulations and give people spirit and bin you have the highest terms of confidence in many years or maybe ever the tax cut means for Companies Moving to america to stay in america to hire a merck workers right here. The Small Business groups across the nation retailers, restaurants, a contractor supported this plan with tremendous support. Because the massive tax cuts are rocket fuel. [laughter] fatah lil rocket man. He is a sick puppy. Where is cassandra . She and her mother zero days to restore race here in st. Charles make a really beautiful Handmade Jewelry and i got to see some of it. I will have taken in my previous life but they make a right here in the heartland. It is beautiful the tax plan will insure that she can keep growing per business and creating jobs giving back to the community to make her more and more successful. Randy is also here. And the is a member of dozens of Small Businesses in the st. Charles area he mentor is a lot of the businesses. He did a terrific job to renovate the Old Post Office on main street and something that i know something about. Did he do a good job . [applause] they said yes. He knows firsthand how the high tax burden is holding a Small Businesses back and the tax plan will release them to drive like never before which will provide relief from the horrible crushing unfair estate tax also known as the death tax. [applause] who want to make it easier for loving families to pass on their lifes work to their children. [applause] bad is a tough one the democrats fight that harder than any other thing. They fight to that death tax they dont like it or wanted but i have to be honest people here are very rich and love their children. They want to pass on without having to use sold the of mortgage property but the biggest problem but they want to stop the estate tax or the death acts to be rescinded the retiree will receive the enormous boost but this is interesting because the years republicans and democrats agree with having billions of dollars overseas know i think it is for 5 trillion coming back into the United States invested in our country instead of sitting and helping others. We want our own health. [applause] thats is uneasy one last Year AmericanMultinational Companies had more than 70 percent of foreign profits overseas because the current taxpayers system penalizes to bring back home our plan switches to the territorial tax system Encouraging Companies to return profits to america are right here to the United States where the money belongs going back to work for you. Territorial. If we want america to thrive thing we must stop running from the competition and winning again. Remember i used to say. [laughter] i used to say that. That is what is happening. But then the governor book come to that beautiful Historical Office in say they have lousy economic numbers come a lousy job numbers, please mr. President and i say governor . That dont care what they say in missouri we will keep winning and winning. [applause] i used to say that. But we are. A lot bigger than anybody thought possible for such a short period of time for too long the tax code has is a Device Companies to leave in search of lower tax rates and Many Companies that go to ireland and all over asia and though they want to take a vintage of what is happening but the new model is the american model. It is tough but we build day here as much as possible. 100 worker was ted the . America. [cheers and applause] under the american model were reducing burdens but to build the same car in mexico and say it ascended through the borders with the taxes and we buy the car. Same price. In the meantime what do we get . Attacks and unemployment. N to n negative of there if and now there is as 20 more one people as one american family. This weeks growth could be that beginning of the next great chapter for the american worker. The december rise we cut taxes for the of middle income families and nearly doubles the amount it cut Small Business taxes and reduces the corporate rate from 35 percent down and to we have a moment in time the republicans have the senate, house, and the white house. [cheers and applause] that is very unusual this is our chance to also would repeal a and replace. It will happen. Many democrats have promised tax cuts that dont mean anything because they really want a major tax increase. Senator macassar go. Have you heard of her . Is doing you a tremendous disservice she once your taxes to bob, weak on crime and for her sins in nickel that those politicians will drain the swamp. [applause] if you make your voice is heard to call up your congressman but we have no choice. We have to act. We have to act as a country. This isnt good for the Republican Party before the country. Ultimately that is what it is all about. [applause] so this week hopefully the senate can join in the house to take that stand for middleclass families a and a business and to give the American People a big beautiful Christmas Present you see red and snow and new year but you dont see Merry Christmas to you will be celebrating in it Merry Christmas again with the big beautiful tax cut.
