Our goal the entire time they were here there is a lo theresf things that go into that. They start looking at shortterm and longterm solutions. This is a Disaster Recovery center to help people register for assistance or answer some of the questions that they may have and we understand at the end of the day it can still be a confusing process so we try to have that facetoface interaction they may not be getting online or on the phone to help walk them through this process. How many centers do you have and how big is the staff on ha hand . We are up to 22 Disaster Centers so that number is constantly changing but we have about 4,000 people supporting the hurricane in texas right now and that number ads and flow abs the disaster goes on but so far weve registered 750,000 survivors sue a number of people posting are significantly higher in serving the number of People Per Day where each disaster is a Recovery Process. What happens when a victim walks through the Disaster Relief center . They will sit down with someone and ask the asic questions arent you looking for information to update your case. What does the impact loo is thed how can we help you. So it is a variety that exist and recovery center. So, right now we have two different portions into the individual assist in and each of those tables they can either register answering questions they have. They can also sit with our mitigation folks as they start the Recovery Process to make sure they are at less risk next time and is a member of agencies in here including the insurance and a number of other Disaster Recovery centers where we have the stat state health and Human Services and the department of Motor Vehicles and above documents of drivers licenses and things like that. The department of Veterans Affairs have the Veterans Administration and helping with the services as well. We also have a large number of representatives in the administration. We can provide a maximum of 3300 a lot of people wont come close to death so we want to make sure we are providing as much assistance as we can. Fussball Business Administration they can provide the low interest disaster loans and regardless of whether or not people want to take the loan, they can make a decision after words on whatever theyve been approved for but we need that information so it is part of why we partner to make sure they are providing and answering the questions and helping people figure out the application process. [inaudible] we are talking like 1. 75 or the 2 range. That depends on the credit score and application [inaudible] what is the next step before they are denied or get assistance . The next step after is to make sure that theyve captured everything accurately because i noticed most of the people were talking about not knowing enough in the damages. Right now the wait time is about 30 days. We have 750,000 applications right now although weve already approved 240,000 applications theres still a long way to go. Its a long timeframe and right now the wait is about 30 days. To document the damages and start cleaning up, like you were citin saying, e highest amount wont cover everything so when they are in here are there other plans and medications can you tell us more about that . We have home owners insurance for most and that is something we are strongly pushing for because that is a huge gap. We also talk about how they can reduce the risk and that is part of the mitigation table to answer the Flood Insurance questions and they can talk about the Little Things people can do the next time this happens so there isnt really a solution here they can be elevating to talk about things like elevating the entire home or acquisition as they are commonly known on what the state chooses to prioritize when they look at all of this. In the past, people have become aware of the trailers. Talk a little bit about that. I know that you were kept away from the program somewhat. Are they available here . There are no tracks delete coach fox available at the time. We had a little bit of a bad rap for what happened. We changed the process to make sure its no longer an issue in the standard and not something we can control. One of the reasons we look at the travel trailers is more of a last resort is because number one, we want to encourage people to use rental assistance or transitional sheltering one is more Wraparound Service but the other thing it would provide for people is economic influx in the community. We know that its a huge part of an area. If we get to that point there are a lot of things we have to work through. We have to make sure as we manage the plan they have electricity and Wastewater Services in all these other Wraparound Services that most home buyers cant handle right off the bat. There are a lot of options on that. Is that the decapitation process o orders that separate . We ask them what is their situation like and is it something they will remedy pretty quickly when they look at the program. Those are conversations that we need for the regular application process. I understand they offer other kinds of assist in which funeral arrangements and stuff like that. We meet with voluntary groups and agencies to help people with their needs. We are built for this and we also have a number of our Partner Agencies and the Veterans Affairs, hhs, the coast guard has been here. After the point things start winding down how long will fema stay . Now the Recovery Efforts are focused on the individuals and as long as the application process is here it will be here long after to close that process out and then we start looking at the damage to the infrastructure and reimbursement so it is a Different Group of people then we Start Talking about the mitigation actions and these different parts of the programs and the agencies that will roll through the course of the disaster. Sometimes what people call partisanship is a deep the deep disagreement. Over the means to the
