I made the decision after 9 11, we volunteered and i was an officer with navy . We volunteered to serve in iraq. I deployed back in 2007. I was serving with u. S. Special warfare navy seals in fallujah. You had al qaeda in iraq and a lot of bad folks there. They were doing a lot of bad things. You had iran funding shia militia and killing a lot of our service members, over a thousand at that time. I also served for a time in Guantanamo Bay where we had some of the terrorist there. Ive seen a lot of this and i of its it was motivated to join in response to the terrorist attack on 9 11 that this country suffered but i must say what we saw over the weekend and israel, thats a new depth of depravity with what hamas did by decapitating babies, executing elderly people, filming this and putting it out for family members to witness the execution of their loved ones. These are people people. This merits an overwhelming response by the state of israel. We must stand with israel and their right to defend themselves against the hamas aggression. [applause] they dont have to live like this. You are already seeing the media looking to blame israel and talking about gaza and this and that and there is no water in all these other things. The only thing that will end this is for israel to uproot all the infrastructure hamas has done, all the terror accoutrements and make hamas no more. That is the only thing they can possibly do. If hamas and hezbollah laid down their arms tomorrow, you would have peace. It israel lay down its arms tomorrow, you would see the annihilation of the jewish state at the hands of those groups. Said dont give me moral equivalence, dont tell me somehow that israel is to blame. They should be able to defend themselves and we will support their right to do it. [applause] i dont think i need to tell you whats going on in the middle east and whats going on in her own country whats going on at our border shows this country is in disarray. Our country is in a state of decline, the economy, the culture, law and order, all these Different Things are going in the wrong direction. This decline is not inevitable. This decline is a choice. I refused to waive the white flag of surrender and say we cannot make it better. I refused to say that we as republicans are simply going to manage the decline a little bit better than the democrats. No, we accept nothing less than reversing the decline of this country. We will usher in an american revival and give this country a new birth of freedom. In order to do that, you got to lead and youve got to be able to get the job done. We have no more time for empty promises. We have no more time for political slogans that you have no intention of following through with once you get into office. The way i think about what i will do as president and i thought about this when we were going out to california to do the debate at the Reagan Library in simi valley. I thought about the president speeches and what he didnt when he left office and gave a farewell address and was talking about the accomplishments of the administration. One way i can stand here today and tell you why i should be the republican nominee and be the next president is because i fastforward to january of 2033. After two terms serving as your president , what am i going to be able to tell you that we actually accomplished . Not what we promise but what we actually compass and we will be able to say that we have restored the American Dream in this country. You can get ahead again when you work hard. You will not be beaten down by crippling inflation and crippling Interest Rates which, by the way, were engineered by congress and the president and the federal reserve, your government created this crisis, it wasnt something that fell into their lap. We will make sure that congress cannot spend this country into oblivion anymore. We will make sure to get the bureaucracy off the backs of the American People so that people can succeed again as a Small Business and individuals. We will make sure we fully open up this countrys Energy Resources for production so you pay less for gas, the economy can run on Cheaper Energy prices , more jobs and, by the way, pretty good for our National Security as well. If a family cannot raise kids and get ahead and afford a house or a car, this country is not going to work. We will make sure this country works again it will make sure people can get ahead again. We are also going to restore the sovereignty of our country. We will have enforceable borders including the southern border and the northern border here in New Hampshire. [applause] we are going to do that not by slogans, we will do that on day one declaring it to be a national emergency. We will mobilize all available resources including u. S. Military and we will stop the invasion cold. When people come in illegally, were not going to whine about it. Im sending them back to where they came from. [applause] and yes, we will build the border wall. I was a big supporter of president trumps promise candidate trump and 2016 to build the wall and have mexico pay for that wall. It didnt happen and he said recently that the reason it didnt happen was because there was no Legal Mechanism where he could have made mexico pay for the wall. That wasnt what he said in 2016 because i was at those rallies. He said they would pay but you actually can have mexico pay for the wall. They want is give us money so you impose fees on the remittances that foreign nationals are making money here. They are sending the remittances back to mexico and central and south america. You raised billions of dollars and you construct the border wall. I will get that done and we will make that happen. [applause] and thats important but whats even more important and im the first candidate, no president has been willing to do that, im the first candidate that said you can and now they are copping me. We will treat the mexican drug cartels as International Terrorist organizations. We will authorize the use of deadly force against the mexican drug cartels because they are invading our country and they are killing tens of thousands of our fellow americans with fentanyl. They are poisoning our communities and its not as border communities. Every community has become a border community. You have communities in New Hampshire and we have it in florida and everywhere in between. Drug addiction is a tough thing but with fentanyl, its beyond that. Ive been able to meet a lot of these moms across the country and they are called angel moms who have lost somebody to fentanyl overdose and what you find is not that their kids were junkies or doing drugs all the time. Maybe they were stressed out and taking an exam and someone told them you take a pill to get through and it turns out that pill was laced with fentanyl. The kid takes it and dies. We had a situation in florida where he had an 18monthold baby crawling on the carpet of an airbnb rental. Presumably, whoever had a before was doing drugs and there was fentanyl residue in the carpet and the baby came in contact with it and the baby died. Can you imagine being a parent and having an eightmonthold crawling on the carpet and then dying . Its happening all across the country in the d. C. Elite dont give a dam about whats happening. They are not doing anything to rescue this country from the carnage. They are just business as usual, borrow and spend more money, dont even worry about the problem. Those days end when im president and the first time the member of a. Of a drug cartel try just he fentanyl into this country, it will be the absolute last thing they do because we will shoot them stone cold dead right at the southern border. [applause] we are going to also be able to say that the United States remains the worlds leading superpower. We will have a Strong Military and we will have successfully fended off the threat posed by the Chinese Communist party. The terrorism we are seeing is real and terrorism is not done as much as we hope it is. It will continue to be an issue and i worry about if you have 7 Million People come into your country through the border illegally, you dont think our enemies have in putting people in that plan on doing us harm . Weve got real threats with terrorism is something biden has exacerbated with his recklessness. I also know china is our first pair competitor since the end of the cold war. They want to pass as economically and militarily and the way biden is going, they will do both. We will make sure american strength wins the day. We will not let them take more of our industry. We will establish economic independence from china we will have a strong navy and a strong power to be able to prevent them from realizing their ambitions in the indo pacific. When we do that by the end of the decade into the next decade, we will have ensured that the 21st century remains the American Century and not the chinese century. [applause] we are also going to be able to tell people that our School Systems are focusing solely on educating our kids, not on indoctrinating our kids. [applause] parents rights to direct the education up bringing other kids will be respected and honored across the land. We are not going to be teaching kids to hate this country or hate each other. We will make sure that our young people are taught about our constitution and about what it means to be an american. Ultimately, they are the ones that will carry on. [applause] when you look at whats happening at places like harvard and these other places where the students are signing these letters supporting hamas terrorists, you know something is really, really wrong with our Education System. In florida, we have actually fought and won against that but this country needs a lot of work and we will not succeed if our Education System is turning out nothing but garbage. What i saw at harvard was a total disgrace and i would run the other way if i saw any of those kids wanting a job from me. [applause] we are also going to ensure that whether you live in a red state or blue city, criminals are held responsible for their misconduct. If you do the time. Im sick of letting these rogue prosecutors release people back into the community, they commit more crimes, generate more victims, the crime rate goes up in the quality of life collapses. We will make sure the rule of law prevails from coast to coast in this country. Finally, we will make sure we will have made sure the u. S. Constitution has been restored to its rightful place at the center of our national life. The Founding Fathers created a government of limited power. They created three branches of government, they did not create a fourth ranch of government, and Administrative State that looms over us and imposes its will on us. No, government must be limited, no unaccountable bureaucracy, no weaponization of federal power and we will make sure we hold the government accountable for its misdeeds starting with covid19 lockdown policies and mandates and restrictions. I am bringing a reckoning. I will have brought a reckoning to the cdc, the nih and the fda, they harm people with what they were doing. They live to the public on so many different issues. It has hurt this country, it is still hurting this country today and yet nobody has been held accountable. I think people like faucher she need to justice. They need to be held accountable. [applause] all that is great and there will be more we can say but if we can say all of those things, and we will also be able to say we have restored what president reagan called the shining city on a hill that we will have left the country freer and stronger and most importantly, we will have turned it over to her kids and grandkids in better shape than we found it. As it stands now, we are in jeopardy of being the first generation of americans to leave to her kids and grandkids a less prosperous and less free america than what we inherited. Weve got big work to do. Ultimately, whats missing right now is leadership. Leadership that will be able to get the job done, leadership that you can trust to fight for you, particularly when the chips are down. Its easy to lead when you have the wind at your back but who will dig in and fight when the arrows are coming at them and there is nobody running who has stood up and delivered to the extent i have. Everything i promised the people of florida, i have done. I delivered 100 of the promises we did. We said we would cut taxes, we set a record for tax cuts. I said i would run budget surpluses and. We ran record surpluses weve paid down almost 25 of her estate total outstanding debt in the five years ive been governor. We enacted Universal School choice throughout the state of florida. [applause] we enacted a parents bill of rights which says parents have the fundamental right to direct the education and upbringing of their children. We got ideology out of our schools by eliminating Critical Race Theory [applause] and we stood up to the most powerful company in the history of the state of florida, disney, to say we are not going to let the sexualization of our curriculum happen particular in elementary school. It is wrong to teach a secondgrader that they were born in the wrong body or gender is a choice and thats not happening in florida. We stood up and fought that. [applause] we have banned the purchase of land by the chinese comets party in the state of florida. [applause] we are not letting them get our farmland. We did that all across the country. We have need cape to the idea ofsg, environment social governance where these Big Companies and Asset Managers try to take money that doesnt belong to them and they try to impose a leftwing agenda on society, going after fossil fuels and the Second Amendment and going at things the left doesnt like. N weixed that from her pension fund and i took 2 billion managed by blackrock i took away from them and put it in places where they are not doing. We banned the use ofesg scores for rating state and Municipal Bonds and we do not recognize and are one of only a couple of states the use of centralbank Digital Currency in the state of florida. [applause] they want to get rid of cash and get rid of cryptocurrency and i want to force everyone to use cbdc controlled by the central bank. They just want to be nice to you . They want to control what you are allowed to do. People say at places like the World Economic forum, you will be able to limit transactions for ammo and gas and all the things the elites dont like. As president on day one, we are throwing cbdc in the trashcan where belongs and those policies from davos in the World Economic forum will be dead on arrival in the United States of america. We have also reformed our higher Education System. Show me another state that got involved in higher education. All tenured professors in florida must undergo review every five years and can be let go for poor performance. [applause] we have also eliminated socalled diversity, equity and inclusion in our Public University system. [applause] they say thats what it is but in reality, the way its practice, its discrimination exclusion and indoctrination and that has no place in our public universities. We also took one of our small liberal arts colleges in sarasota called new college. It was supposed to be the top Honors College in florida. Im looking at it is like a marxist comment, left of the left and tact at taxpayer expense. Ive put seven conservatives on the board of trustees and they fired the president , hired a conservative president and they eliminateddei, abolished the gender studies department and they set up a new Mission Statement that said this is going to be a Classical LiberalArts UniversityLike Hillsdale College in michigan. [applause] our outofstate tuition is only 16 thousand eight student. We are doing it right on all of them. We stood up against illegal immigration. We banned sanctuary cities in the state of florida. I sent people to texas as a southern border. We have people to verify to make sure we have a legal workforce. We help transport illegal aliens to beautiful mark thirds vineyard. Nobody was talking about this until that happened. Now it has gone to new york. Now you have governor of new york, mayor of new york city saying you have got to close the border. That works and that is the type of outward that we need. We established unquestionably florida as the top law and order state in the country. We give police 5,000 bonuses who will recruit into our state from chicago and all of those places. We banned local governments from being able to be fond of the police. State of florida will never be able to do that. I am not going to let them cut off their nose despite their faith and not let police on the streets and let their citizens be exposed. When the George Floyd Riots and blm riots were happening come i am not allowing florida cities to burn down. I called down the National Guard and we said this is not going to fly. Now we have antiriot legislation. If you riot, you engage in mob violence, we are not going to treat you like they do in portland were they give you a slap on the wrist and put you back on the street. You do that in florida, you are getting the inside of a jail cell. This just took effect in october. Are we signed legislation providing for the Death Penalty for pedophiles we signed legislation providing the Death Penalty for pedophiles. We have done much more. When the member hit the road for florida, the reason why florida is doing well, we are the number one economy according to the nbc. Number one for education for u. S. News weird highest migration rate. All of these Different Things. The reason we to this thing, wh, we had to make decisions as governors and executives, are you going to let your state or your country turn into a fauci dystopia or are you going to fight back. We made the decision that are going to choose freedom over faucism your dye was getting. I was even getting hit by republicans. You have got to mandate something they were telling me. I am like look, my job as a leader is to care more about protecting the jobs of the people that i represent that i do have protecting my own political. You should expect nothing less from your leaders then that. I knew i would stand strong to do what i thought was right. We got hammered. After we stood our ground, didnt budge, months later everyone wanted to be in florida and the rest is history. Standing for what is right and doing it. We have the record that you can trust of somebody that if i tell you im going to do something, i am going to do it. Part of it is will. I am not going to make a promise to you that i will not follow through it. I also have a sense of actually how to get this done. I know how to use the leverage of a power. That is how we do it in florida. You got to be disciplined and focused. If we are able to do that, 2024 is a great opportunity for us. At the time for excuses from republicans is over. We had three straight election cycles. In florida we had a red wave in 2022 won by a record margin appeared and a republican running for governor, one a bigger election. We showed it could be done. We were winning areas that no republicans won. You have got to get the job done and deliver a victory. If the democrats win again, theyre going to pack the u. S. Supreme court come abolish the electoral college. They are going to illuminate the use of a voter id in every jurisdiction in the country. It will not be able to dig ourselves out of the hole if they are able to do it. I am motivated for this fight because need a president who can serve two terms and get the job done. We need a president who have the track record of a winning week elections and over performing the fundamental. We need to understand i have a six and a fiveyearold at home. I want to make sure they have the same opportunities. I started working with a minimum wage job, calling myself trying to get to school. I made choices to join the navy. You go where i started in florida. By age 40, im the governor of the thirdlargest eight in the country. The 13th largest economy in the world. After serving a two term election running for president , no one would have thought that was possible. It would not be possible with any other country in this world. We are losing a lot of that. We owe it to our kids and grandkids. We owe it to the people who have come before us who sacrificed so that we can be free. I used to take out flights to washington dc, there was a particular flight that took you to the national mall. If you looked up, you saw inspiring views of the lincoln memorial. All of these Different Things. Then the u. S. Capitol building. He felt a sense of pride as an american. He felt like the principles and ideas that make us unique are exemplified in those monuments and buildings. As you are flying in there, i am glad to be an american. What i figured out, our best monuments were not on the national mall. If you look at the right side of the plane, you saw a series of small nondescript monuments orderly arranged over the Rolling Hills of the place called Arlington National cemetery. It occurred to me then. [applause] it occurred to me then, i believe now you can have the best constitution in the world, best declaration of independence in the world and these things do not run on autopilot, they require each generation of americans to step up and do their part when freedom is at risk. That may mean putting on a uniform, risking your life and indeed giving that full measure of devotion for service to this country. We are not asked to make those types of sacrifices in this political season. What we are called upon to do is stand firm to the truth. Do all we can to make sure we are victorious in the political battles ahead and not back down from doing what is right. As your candidate for the republican party, i can promise you this, i am not going to fail. I am will get the job for you. I will i will get the job done for you. I will not let you down. I had a ford f150 before i became governor. I want that to be gas, i do not wanted it to be electric. If people want to buy those, i have no problem with the market sorting itself out. In places like california, they are forcing all new cars at a certain date to be electric. They are not going to be allowed to sell a new car that is not electric. They made this announcement and they pat themselves on the back. Two days later another announcements, all current ev owners, do not plug in your ev, our electric grid will not handle it. What is meant to happen when you add another 30 million of these . The grid will not be able to handle it. This is expense of virtue signaling. A cars Environmental Impact is not just measured on what comes out of the exhaust pipe. In china they have a lot of electric vehicles. Where do they get the energy to charge their electric vehicles . Old plants. They are building two new coal plants every week. I do see the Biden Administration doing anything about that . We need reliable cheap energy. The way to do that is to using the resources that we have in the United States. With the biting i do not support mandates. If that is what you are doing you are relying on china to mine the critical mineral. They will not let people mine our catacomb minerals in the United States. That is putting america last.
