France and abroad. Before anything else, let me say thank you. After five years of challenging, this day, the majority amongst us chose to trust me for the next five years. [applause] i want to thank all of the activists, all of the workers, all of the people who work with us along the ride and elected officials who supported me and make this election possible. I know that you have given so much of your energy, effort to this endeavor. The truth comes from my heart. Thank you. Thank you. I know what iou. Thank you. I know what i owe you. Thank you. [applause] i want to thank all of the french people, men and women who in the first and the second round of president ial elections put their trust in me so we can make this predicament, frances more independent, europe stronger and investments to continue to implement change that is better for everyone, by freeing activity and innovation in our country and making a great green nation. [laughter] [applause] i also know full well that many people will tonight voted for me, not to support my ideas, but to block the far right. I want to thank them tonight. I want to tell them that i understand the duty that comes with that for the next upcoming years. I have been interested in their sense of duty, their feelings for the republic and for the differences that are being spread over the last week. [applause] i also spare a thought for all of the citizens who did not vote. Their silence means they refused to choose. Finally, my thoughts go to those who voted for misses lopin. I understand. No booeing. I said at the beginning i did not want to see that. [applause] because from now on, i am no longer a candidate for a party. I am everyones president. [applause] i know that for many of our fellow citizens who decided to vote for the far right tonight, i understand they disagree with any anger that led them to vote and we need to answer them as well. That will be my responsibility, and the responsibility of those around me. [applause] because the votes that were cast today require that we take in account all difficulties in everyones lives, and that would bring effective. Fellow citizens, dear friends, today you chose a president who is ambitious to our country. A social project. A green project. A projectbased, work in creation. A project that will free our cultural forces, our schools, our entrepreneurs. This project [applause]. This project is something that i want to build strength over the coming years. Also, the differences. Every day shall make sure that i respect everyone. I will continue to work towards a society that is fair between everyone and men and women. [applause] to achieve this, we are going to need to be ambitious, we are needing to be demanding but ourselves because we have somewhat to do. Ukraine is there to remind us we are going to tragic times. Times at which france must be hurt. Friends must make its choices. France must make its choices. We will do just that. [applause] and dear friends, we also need to be careful and respectful because our country is full of division and out. Therefore, we must be strong. No one will be left by the wayside. [applause] together, which is the only through we can live happier in france and overcome the challenges that will come in the coming years. The coming years it will not be easy for sure. They will be historic once. Together we will fight that story for the coming generation. I wish to say alongside you looking at the coming five years, we must know that the coming five years will not just be a continuity of what it has been in the past, but a new method.
