[indistinct chatter] thank you, everybody. Thank you. As we begin Labor Day Weekend americas unprecedented economic recovery continues. You see what is going on. It is pretty amazing. The United States economy as of this morning, 1. 4 million jobs les last month bringing the total to over 10 million jobs which is a record. In august, we added 240,000 retail jobs, 174,000 leisure and hospitality jobs, and 29,000 new manufacturing jobs. The Unemployment Rate plummeted to 8. 4 , the second largest month job ever recorded. It is surpassed only by our decline in june. Last month we saw declines in the Unemployment Rate for africanamericans, and hispanic americans, and asian americans. We are witnessing the fastest labor Market Recovery from an economic crisis in history by far. By contrast the last demonstration had the slowest, weakest, and worst recovery in american history. That was well documented as you know. This year the United States has seen the smallest Economic Contraction of any western nation and we are recovering at a much faster rate than any other nation. Business confidence is higher or euthan in any other g7 country. Business confidence is higher than any of those countries. In july, retail sales not only recovered, but reached a new alltime high. Think of that. Retail sales that is a basic statistic and epic statistic. A big statistic. It reached the highest level ever. 74 sales have surged to their april low and are nearly back to their previrus levels. That has been a tremendous thing. Used cars and new cars have been doing incredibly well. Mortgage applications were 27 higher in august then during the same time last year. Homebuilder sentiment reached highest level on record indicating more highpaying construction jobs are on the way. Home building has been great and the lending has been really incredible. U. S. Manufacturing activity reached a 19 month high in august. While my administration fought every day to restore prosperity, nancy pelosi and the democrats in congress are holding additional china virus relief to reasons nobody understands. I think i understand. It is called politics. Politics, i think North Carolina, michigan, pennsylvania, and other states should open. The democratic governors should open them. 4th. Will open on november but it is very unfair to the people. Democrats are insisting on a massive taxpayer bailout of badly run blue states. Stimulus checks for illegal aliens and the release of inmates from jail. They want to release a lot of inmates. Some of them for very serious reasons. They want that as part of a stimulus package, can you believe it . It is time for the democrats in congress to start working across the aisle and put the American People first. Anhave 300 billion in account we did not use. That iling to use would be willing to really set subject to congress and use that as stimulus money. It would go right to the American People. We have 300 billion sitting in an account we did not need because things are going so well with the economy, but it would be an appropriate thing to release that to the American People and i am willing to do it. All we need is a sign off, but that does not mean we are going to release prisoners, some prisoners, some very vicious people actually. We are not going to put them on the streets like the democrats want us to and we are not quick to give stimulus checks to illegal aliens. They came in illegally and i would give them a check. We want to give these to the American People. 300 million, we do not need anything, let that money get released to the American People. As our economy rebounds there is only one thing that could stop the economic comeback and wipe out the future of American Workers and that is what the democrats want to do with a 4 trillion tax hike. Belementing things that will very bad for our country and this will absolutely cripple what we are doing on regulations and so many other elements of success. We had the greatest economy in history prior to the china virus coming in. Now they want to stop regulations, they want to bring up regulations and stop the things we are doing. They want to bring up regulations at a rate nobody has seen before. They want to make things impossible for any economy to grow. They want to ban fracking and says in, ban, and now he was only talking about he wants to ban fracking. It does not matter. The people controlling him want to ban fracking. Whether it is pennsylvania, texas, oklahoma, north dakota, so many other states, you cannot ban fracking. Energy,abolish american that is what is going to happen. Adopt disastrous trade deals and inflicted devastating shutdown. We would be willing to shut it down and you do not shut down when we are setting records. We are rounding the corner, we are rounding the corner on the virus. Joe bidens blanket shutdown would collapse our economy, because coun countless deaths from suicide, alcohol, drug abuse. Shutdowns because a lot of serious problems. More so than the virus itself. Bidens plan is not a solution, it is a virtual surrender. Our country is doing so well. We are starting to do so well. I think we will have a great Third Quarter. The numbers will be announced sometime prior to the election november 3rd. Joe spent his entire career sending american jobs to china and other faraway countries for 47 years. People were pillaging our country, taking our jobs, taking our companies, and that is never going to change with that mindset and that group. Is not going to be standing up to these foreign countries. He will not stand up to the people who run the democratic party. He does not have the strength to do that. He refuses to condemn antifa, a bad group, a domestic terrorist organization. He does not want to say anything bad about it. His plan to appease the domestic terrorists is the exact opposite of what i am doing. I think you saw that last night. Yesterday, the u. S. Marshals, we sent them in. We were waiting for a local government to take care of it, but they did not do that, so the u. S. Marshals went in. They took down the antifa member who murdered a man in the middle of a street in portland. The suspect was killed after drawing a weapon. When officers attempted to take him into custody the u. S. Marshals are credible people. I want to thank them for their strength, their bravery, and i really do wish the mayor of portland and the governor of oregon would get going and stop the crime in that city. It would be so easy to do. While we are focused on creating good paying jobs the radical left is focused on unleashing violent mobs. Whether you are conservative, liberal, democratic, republican, independent we must agree on peace and safety. Under my Administration Law enforcement is arresting looters and domestic terrorists. The reason chicago is not on the list is we were Holding Funds from the states doing such a poor job, such an incompetent job. A job that nobody can imagine how bad and we are holding it back until they get their act together. We are having a lot of people in chicago right now and you notice numbers are going down rapidly. We have deployed a lot of federal Law Enforcement inside chicago and they are taking out quite a few people. They are being put in jail and that is why you see numbers going down. With respect to the mayor, we did not hold back funds in chicago. New york is experiencing a tremendous crime wave. 300 andases, over they have to do something quickly. We just spoke to mayor bowser and she is willing to do whatever is necessary. I had a good talk with her in d. C. The other places speak for themselves. We are working with state and local authorities to comb through hours of videotapes to prosecute lawbreakers. We have over 300 in jail and we have tremendous evidence. I want to thank the media for helping us out because they are taking different angles. We have it from every different angle. You cannot have better than what we have got. We see it from the sky, the ground, and from the right and from the left. When they say they did not do it we say, what is this . We get that from the media free of charge under operation legend. We sent Law Enforcement to cities plagued by crime. The initiative resulted in tremendous success and nationwide, we have over 2000 arrests we do not talk about much but we might as well we have arrested over 2000 criminals in a single month. The murder rate in chicago, it was cut in half actually. Front,the china virus the nations of europe have 8 greaterd a 3 mortality than the United States. Mortality than the United States, a lot of you do not want to report that. We took new york out of the equation. The job we have done is incredible and we do not get any credit for it, but we have done an incredible job through operation warp speed. Three vaccines in the final stages of clinical trials. I spoke to the head of pfizer, great guy. They announced they expect results of its trial very shortly, next month, but very shortly. We remain on track to deliver a vaccine before the end of the year, may before november 1st. We think we could have it sometime during the month of october. Pfizer is among the leaders as you know and it is a great company. Johnson johnson also doing well. Moderna, we have some Great Companies all doing well, all in final stages. I think you are going to see results that are shockingly good. Finally, i want to provide you with a brief update of coronavirus cases in the United States. They declined 28 over the last month and hospitalizations and death have declined over the past week, substantially declined, thanks to americas medical genius. The mortality rate has been reduced by 85 in april. Mortality rate reduced by 85 . Hospital stays are one third of their average length in april. The hospitalizations are down, length of stay is way down. In order to keep making progress against the virus we ask all americans to remain vigilant, especially over labor day. You have Labor Day Weekend coming upon us immediately. I guess we can say pretty we, needly and everybody to be careful apply common sense, and do all of the things we have told you to do as quickly, as much as you can. Social distancing, wearing a mask whenever the distancing is not possible, and stay with a group you know. Let us try to get through this one weekend i think we have a chance of doing that. Social distance, wash your hands, all the hygiene things we speak about. We are rounding the turn in the vaccines are coming, therapeutics have already come, but they continue to come. Convalescent plasma has had a tremendous impact already. You have see what is happening there and remdesivir has been incredible. We have a lot of therapeutics coming out, i think, from the standpoint of common sense, therapeutics, you go into a hospital and get some but is shot or transfusion it might be a transfusion probably more than 50 are transfusions. You leave the hospital shortly thereafter. Important ins more some sense than the vaccines, but the vaccines will be great over the longterm. Therapeutics over the short term and knowing you have therapeutics is great from the standpoint of mind the standpoint of the mind, it is great. Kudlowing to ask larry to give a couple of examples of how strong our economy is recovering, how strongly it is recovering, and it is setting records at every level. We are doing better than every other country and we are very proud of all of the people for doing such an incredible job. This is a super v. We have 300 billion ready to go. All congress has to say is, use it. I would like to use it without their permission, but i am not allowed to do that. I did ask that question. Congress has to say, use it. All they have to do is say, use it, 300 billion immediately, put it into our system, and it would really help the American People. Nothing else to do, just a quick statement. I think i received letters from every football coach in the nation. That is a little exaggeration, but some of the greats. Nick saban wrote a letter, coach o i said we are going to have to put him in a movie. Urban meyer wrote a letter and some other legendary coaches. We looked at his life and career and what he has done for charity. Just to underscore the president s assessment of the economy, a strong jobs report today. 8. 4 Unemployment Rate. Increase,n payroll by 3. 8 million increase in the Important Household survey which aims at Small Businesses from which the unemployment is calculated. In the past four months we have generated a 10. 6 million increase in payrolls and 14 million increase in households. We have restored basically half of the jobs that were lost in the pandemic contraction. Todays report included the lower Wage Industries and minority groups acrosstheboard. The diffusion index was 69 . These gains are very broadbased. There are still too many people out, still too many hardships and we are working on that. We are moving in the right direction. That is why todays numbers are encouraging and optimistic. Other areas the president , we are in a housing boom. There can be no disagreement about that. Sales, mortgage applications, home starts up 23 in january. We are in a automobile boom. 15. 2ve gone to million in sales. That is a big jump. The leading indicator is used car sales and prices. The manufacturing indexes are strong. This is recovery including manufacturing. At 68, order indexes Production Index at 63, a manufacturing report for upables up 35 , shipments 35 . These are very strong numbers. New Business Applications from 25,000 two 66,000. As the president referred Consumer Spending is up 84 annually over the past three months. V shapedwe are in a recovery. It is a self sustaining recovery. High demand, increase in production, along with decline in inventory will give us a tremendous momentum going into the second half of the year. I still reckon the Third Quarter will be 20 growth. The gdp index is close to 30 . I think 20 is a good number. I think the second half and next year, provided economic policies on theprogrowth and policy front i do not understand the other side wanting a 4 trillion tax increase after a pandemic contraction. I believe the vast majority of , demandside or supplyside, you do not raise taxes by this amount, or any amount, but 4 trillion . Picking the pockets of taxpayers returning to work and need all the resources they can get, you do not do it. There should be complete consensus on that. I am quite surprised and i think that is a potential obstacle. People are beginning to speak about that. All i can say is the numbers are coming in very positively. A lot of optimism going on. More work to be done, but we are in the right direction. [cameras shuttering] if i could ask you about the 300 billion . Youre going to wait for congress for stimulus checks. What about it . Is that correct . You are waiting . There is a theory i can do it without the approval, but i would rather get the approval so that we have it. There is a theory it is money that we have. Money that we built up and many that we have not spent. I would love to give it to the American People as a very powerful stimulus. Could do itheory i without having to go back, but i think it would be appropriate to go back and i would ask congress to approve it. It is a simple approval. Literally, a one sentence approval. The democrats should do that, the republicans will do that, they would be glad to. We will see whether or not they do it. [indiscernible] the del police said they were going to endorse you. Would like your response i am honored because i do not see biden anywhere but delaware. I like delaware to, but to have the the Law Enforcement and delaware give their endorsement to me is a great honor. Pathetichows you how the democrats are when it comes to crime, law and order. What is your message to russia about that and how should the International Community and unites states respond . I think we have to look at it seriously. I think we will. Nobody has been tougher in russia than i have. I get along with almost all countries. I get along with north korea. We were supposed to be going to war. If hillary got elected, you would be at war with north korea. That would be a very bad war. Millions would be killed. In the meantime, we have gotten along with them every said if i was elected i would be at war in one week. It has been the opposite. We are doing well in afghanistan bringing the troops down. Other things are happening. We have a great peace deal in the middle east with the uae and israel and that has been received, probably like very few things it has been well received. We will be having other countries announcing soon. You will a lot of countries saying, why did you not bring us in from the beginning. They want to be in. I was the one that alerted the United States and the world to nordstrom 2. I said why are they Getting Energy from russia and we are supposed to protect germany echo what is that all about . Russia we are negotiating a Nuclear Nonproliferation treaty which is very important. To me it is the most important thing. Some people say global warming, i say this is far more important. We are the biggest, they are the secondbiggest. China is third. They are a distant third, th building rapidly. We are doing well with russia on Nuclear Nonproliferation. I do not know exactly what happened. I think it is tragic, terrible, should not happen. We have not had any proof yet, but i will take a look. Everybody isting always mentioning russia. I do not mind you mentioning point, but china at this is a nation you should be talking about much more so. Arethings china is doing far worse. If you take a look at what is happening with the world, look at what happened with the china virus . Look what happened when they did not keep it within the confines of china. To 188at they have done countries all over the world. You are always asking about russia. That isbe very angry if the case. We will take a look at the numbers and documents. In the back. The Prime Ministers a friend of mine and he is doing a great job. Nothing easy, but doing a great job. We are talking about china and india it has been very nasty. It has been a very nasty situation. We stand ready to help with respect to china and india. If we can do anything, we would love to get involved and help. And we are talking to both countries about that. But i appreciate your nice sentiments. They think a lot of india, and so do i. And i think a lot of your Prime Minister. Thank you. I was invited by Prime Minister modi. This was a massive this was at the where they play football. The houston football team. And it was incredible. It was actually incredible. The Prime Minister could not have been more generous. We have great support from india. We have great support from Prime Minister modi. And i would think that the people, the indian people would be voting for trump. I also, as you know, went to india, just prior to the pandemic setting in. Because india has been hit very hard. Left, really, about a week before that. And we had an incredible time. What we saw, the people are so incredible. Its really an incredible place, an incredible country. And it is definitely big. Its definitely big, but you have got a great leader and he is a great person. Reporter thank you, sir. Do you think china is bullying india . Pres. Trump i hope not. I hope not, but they are certainly going at it. They are going at it much more strongly than a lot of people even understand. Please, go ahead. I hear germany has made a definitive or almost definitive. But we have not seen it ourselves. No. We have not seen it ourselves. But i would certainly be ok with that. They want to do something, they want to take action, shouldnt happen. Shouldnt happen. But again, we are working very closely with a lot of countries on a lot of different things. We have taken stronger action against russia than any other country in the world, as you know. I will tell you, president putin would tell you that right now. But the fact that i get along with russia and i get along, frankly, with everybody right now. Im not getting along with china, but thats my choice. I dont like what happened with respect to the pandemic, with respect to the china virus. I dont like it at all. What theyve done to this world and this country and europe and everyplace else is terrible. But i do get along with president putin. But ive been tougher on russia than anybody else by far. If you look at the obama administration, they were weak. Look at the land they gave up. Look at what happened with hadnt said . Pres. Trump i say what i say and i never got along with john mccain. I disagreed with john mccain. You know that better than any body, frankly. I was not a fan. I disagreed with many of his views. I disagreed with his views on these ridiculous, endless wars. I disagreed with the way he handled the va. With accountability and all the things we have done for the v. A. , has not been able to do that. It is running much better now. He was not able to do that. I disagreed with John Mccain Mccain on many things. But does not mean i did not respect him. I did, but i disagreed with him on a lot of things. And i was right. Earlier in the statement that you read before, questions, you spoke about how you believe that we are rounding the corner of the coronavirus pandemic. Pres. Trump yes. Reporter you said that yesterday as well, and i think everybody would love to see the pandemic come to an end. There is no doubt about that. But i wanted to ask you about a forecast that has come out by the university of washington. They are forecasting that by january 1 of next year, that we will have 410,000 american deaths from coronavirus, which is 225,000 from where we are right now. So can you explain how you see us rounding the corner based on that projection . Pres. Trump if i did not close up our country. If i did not stop china, highly infected, from coming in. Europe from coming in far sooner than anybody else, including dr. Fauci and others wanted to. And dr. Fauci was very nice and said that President Trump made a great decision. We would have far more than that, but maybe even more importantly, if i did not close up, we would have whatever the number you mentioned, we would have perhaps 1. 5 million or 2 Million Deaths right now if i went a different direction, which some people wanted me to do. I decided not to do it. We would have 2 Million Deaths. A lot of countries do not report their deaths. Obviously, china is not reporting because they had far more than we did. China had far more deaths, in my opinion. It is just my opinion, but they do not report their deaths or they do not report them accurately. I do not want to embarrass other countries. But i can tell you there are other countries where the death toll is far higher than the United States. But they do not report that. So we report it to a level that nobody else reports it. We also do a lot of testing and cases. I watch your broadcasts and your information. Your Media Outlets very , very carefully. I look at the word cases and i nobodya hundred times, wants to pick it up, but we do testing to a level that nobody dreams possible. We have the most tests. We have by far the most tests. India, your question before, india is number two. Done a good job, but they are about 40 million tests behind us and they are a country of 1. 5 billion people. Because of all these tests, we have far more cases. If we cut our cases in half, if we cut our testing in half, we would have half the number of cases. The some it down levels there are some countries that dont test, they only test people that walk into a hospital. They walk into a hospital, that is your test. We have tested more and better and you just see where we now have millions of tests coming in from a Certain Company that has done a fantastic job and it will be anywhere between five minutes to 15 minutes on the spot. Very accurate tests. But if we had much less testing, no testing, you would not be reporting cases. But i do not want to go over the statistics you all wrote it down, but you see how we are doing compared to the rest of the world. If you took out new york, which has been a tragic situation, the amount of people that died in new york. State in it is a major the u. S. , it is still part of the u. S. , new york is. Pres. Trump i am just saying, new york has been in particular run whether it is badly, incompetently, whether it is unfortunate. I appreciated Governor Cuomo saying that i have done a phenomenal job. Andy said very good things. He said bad things too, later on when he had no other choice. But if you take new york out of those numbers, you could multiply our tremendous success by a lot. But look, the bottom line is that the job we have done on covid19 or the the china virus, the china plague call it whatever you want. A lot of different names. We have also helped a lot of other countries, especially with ventilators. Because we build ventilators as at a level that nobody ever thought possible. Reporter the forecasts being accurate, the one i quoted to you . Pres. Trump if we did not do what i said, we would be at 2 Million Deaths right now. Reporter they are taking that into account. Pres. Trump they are not taking that into account. I had a choice to make. The number that you have, which is less than other countries. They do not report deaths and they are not accurate. You know that and so do i. As we have you take a look at some of the things happening in certain very large countries. First of all, we are a large country, but you take a look at things happening with respect to the reporting of deaths in other countries and i say, give me a break. So it is been amazing, but we made some moves at the beginning. China, big. Europe, big. But the biggest of all was closing it down, understanding the disease. We did, and now we know it is the elderly, especially the elderly if they have heart , diabetes, if they have problems. We are watching it very closely. And by the way, we are doing super testing with respect to the super testing. But if we did it a different way, instead of the number you said but basically the number we are at now is approximately 180,000. We would be at 2 Million People right now. Could be higher than that. [indiscernible] pres. Trump i dont know anything about the russian vaccine. We have our vaccine. The russian vaccine, i think it is going to be the standard. These companies are incredible. They have come up with great vaccines over the years. That is the vaccine that probably most of the people in this room are going to want to take. Reporter quick clarification on my question. The 300 billion, is that a main Street Lending program . Pres. Trump it is sitting in an account. It has not been spent, but we are willing to spend it. No, we are willing to spend it. I would like to get approval from congress. There is a theory i dont have to do that, but i would rather be upfront and get approval from congress, let it go directly to the people. It would be a great stimulus. It is actually more stimulus than we are asking for in terms of pure stimulus. This would be pure stimulus. I would not have to let prisoners go, some really evil prisoners go. Like, think of it. The democrats, in order to get what they want and in order to give us what we they are talking about allowing prisoners to be released. Prisoners that we do not want to be released. So in order that we get money to the American People, they want to say, release prisoners and other things like that that are very bad. Cant do that. And we just we do not want to do that. Reporter just to follow up on johns question, i know he spoke earlier about the atlantic story and you have referenced a number of Administration Officials that have come out to support your pres. Trump we have 11 people. I was just told we have 11 people. There is nobody that feels more strongly about our soldiers, our wounded warriors, our soldiers that died in war, than i do. It is a hoax. Just like the fake dossier was a hoax. Just like the russia, russia, russia was a hoax. It was a total hoax. No collusion. Just like so many other things. It is a hoax. And you will hear more of these things totally unrelated as we thecloser and closer to election. The magazine is a failing magazine and nobody called me , nobody called me from the magazine and said, do you have a comment about it . No, they just write whatever they want to write. They figure you cant get sued. You can get sued, but is hard , bringing lawsuits. We have many witnesses and it is just a a total continuation of the witchhunt so that it can hopefully affect the election. But the American People are too smart. So whether it is the fake dossier that turned out to be a total fraud or so many other things. So many other things have turned out. I have been under investigation from before i even got elected. These people have gone after me more than any president in the United States in history in history of the United States. And it is a shame. It is a shame. And despite that, we have done more in the first three and a half years than any administration. There has been more no administration that has done more. When you add it all up, despite all of the horrible political games that have been played. But there is nobody that has been able to do what i have done. And that includes the Great Mission act, because what obama passed was a joke. It was a joke. And we took it to a level that nobody thought possible. And that includes accountability. So, it is a disgrace that somebody is allowed to write things like that. He couldve been you know, a lot of time sources are ones that do not exist. Other times, sources are people who are disgruntled former employees. Reporter the notable voice that has been missing is your former chief of staff john kelly, who was obviously intimately involved in this. How are we supposed to read into the facts of john kelly . Pres. Trump i know john kelly. He was with me. Do a good job, had no temperament. This man was completely exhausted. He was not even able to function in the last number of months. He was not able to function. He was sort of a tough guy. By the time he got eaten up in this world, it is a different world than he was used to. He was unable to function. I told him, john, you are going to have to go. Please give me a letter of resignation, and we did that. Now he goes out and bad mouths. Are people that are jealous, they are upset they are not here anymore. , i guess certain parts of paris, the secret service who by the way, we have people here who were on the trip. They are writing a report. Unable to even think about it, and i said no, i want to go. I insisted on going. It would have taken us forever. Paris police said please, you cannot do this. They would have to shut down various parts of paris, and it was not a possible situation. The helicopter would have been very quick. They had the helicopter all set, but the helicopter could never fly in that kind of weather. And that is all documented, by the way. We have all the information and probably we will release that information, but i think it is a shame. When a second rate magazine i dont read it. I know very little about this magazine, but when a second rate magazine can write things like that about someone who has done so much for the military and get can write that and get away with it to where you actually ask questions about it, it is a disgrace. You should be ashamed of yourself. I watched the interview with sleepy joe biden. You did not ask questions like that. Read the questions you asked. They were like meant for a child. Those questions were meant for a child. Smiles on faces of reporters. Not like you and you. There were smiles what do you think . Take a look at those questions you did not ask questions like that.
