Lesson fromke that the fact that i apparently have it, that would be the wrong lesson. That would be very sad and will upset me quite a bit, because that is not the lesson that should come from this. The lesson that should come from this is we are all human, this virus is everywhere, it is very tough. Yes, you can contract it even when you are being very careful or wearing a mask. But your odds are dramatically better. My office were not good that day that i contracted it. There are some things that are out of our control. I have had people in the past made mention of god and that we should trust in god. I kind of go back to what my wife, fran, have always said since i have known her, god helps those who help themselves. You try and you do those things. We know it improves your odds. It improves your chances of not getting it. It decreases the chance you get it. There is nothing certain in life. Not there are just no guarantees in life. Our next question governor, can you tell us where and when you were tested in cleveland today, and also on the second test, had he received those results, and if so, what is the result . Gov. Dewine the second test was not a rapid test. We have not received those results yet and do not expect to for a while. They say we might get those later tonight. I dont know. We did not expect to have them back this soon. As far as the location of the test, i did not even look to see where we were. I was answering emails and on the phone. I got out, got the test, got back in the car and started working again. I am sure we can supply that information for you. It is a place were testing was occurring, public testing that day. He was going to ask what more the state can do for the average aio and can ohian can get test like he did today, and how confident is he about rapid tests given the falsenegative results . Think i do not have any more information than anybody else does about reliability. That has been published, debated, talked about. There are false positives false negatives usually, is what i am told. Dont tend to be the expert we have done everything we can, we are not stopping to make sure there is more testing available. At about ago we were 8000 tests a day. We are now about 22,000 a day. We have things in the works with contracts. We announced a joint effort with maryland, michigan, other states to purchase more. We will continue to do everything we can to ramp up testing in ohio. Of the things we will do in fact i was on the phone to talk to the president pooling. The white house has been urging pooling for some time in conversations. We are working to do that pooling. You can speed the testing up not results, but you can do more tests. You put five tests or 10 tests in. If they are all negative, it is negative and everybody clears out. We are working on that to do more of that. Tests i have taken were standard tests. Since this was a rapid test, if it comes back as a false positive, does this give you pause to continue with the ramping of the rapid tests, particularly as it relates to a false positive at a school or sports team, that could shut things down. Do you feel we have to go forward . Gov. Dewine we are Going Forward with all kinds of different tests. Tests but alsoid doing the other more conventional tests. It is a constant reevaluation. Constantly evaluate where we are with the virus, what we know about the virus. We know more and i dont mean me, im not a scientist but collectively we know more about the virus today than in march. Same way with testing. Testing is evolving. I wont prejudge. We will see what happens. Im hoping it was a false test. I dont assume that. I assume it was a correct test. We will see. I have a followup on the rapid test. You were able to get results the same day and quarantine without coming into contact with additional people. The white house has been using these tests since april, should ment done more to make that more widely available here . Gov. Dewine i dont speak for the white house, i will speak for me. , andll look back on this there will be things we look back and say, we should have done that. All i can tell you is we have pushed as hard as i know how to get more testing. It has been a problem. Today issts on average better than we were. We have to double it again. As ihas been my message talked to senator brown, the white house, any help you can give us in funding of testing because the private sector is moving. Things are happening. There will be or tests available. If we have the money to pay for it, and we have set aside a lot of money, a lot of the cares act setaside for testing, not just this month but in a couple months, that is what we have to do. We have do more testing. The faster you get the tests back, the quicker you can make a decision, or you know the person needs to isolate, and you move forward.
