Here in the back. [applause] great friendize my , steve, the chairman of the republican party. [applause] these events are made possible by our wonderful sponsors, their banners are around the room, so please note them. We are appreciative of what they do so we can continue to do this. Our partner is the new England Council, a Great Partnership continuing on. Obviously, a little bit dizzy lately. The chairman and ceo is here, and i would like to introduce him for the purposes of an introduction. [applause] jim good afternoon and welcome. I too want to thank the president , not just for that very kind word that neil and so many people here have worked with the new England Council for many years. I think today is the 20th politics and eggs event that we have had this year. None of that would be possible without the incredible collaboration between this wonderful organization, the institute here, and the new England Council. I want to say thank you to the staff of the new England Council end of the institute. Of course, are very deep gratitude to politics and eggs series sponsors, whose banners you see around the room. Thank youngoing for their ongoing generosity, and support of this program. We are proud to be able to offer a forum for our regionss Business Leaders to hear from president ial candidates and representatives during campaign season. We cannot do that without generous support from our sponsors. We have the great honor to welcome as our speaker, the Vice President of the United States, the honorable mike pence. A tworesident pence has decade long record of significant Public Service and was first elected to the house of representatives in 2000 and completed six terms as a congressman. During that service, his colleagues chose him to service the chair of the House RepublicanStudy Committee and the chair of the House Republican conference. 2012 he was elected governor of the great state of indiana. Support for his progrowth policies paid off. He sponsored individual and business tax cuts to attract new investment. Two of his priorities were a Public School education and transportation for structure. Funding, sed School ExpandedSchool Choice and created a prek program for his state. He made career and Technical Education a priority, in every public high school. As for transportation, he sponsored the investment of more than 800 million in new roads and bridges. At the same time he worked at taxes. When he left office indiana had a aaa credit rating. Now he is back in washington, and rumor has it that he likes it there. And would like to stay there a little longer. In thejust happens to be first in the nation primary state to formally file the necessary paperwork to appear on the ballot as a candidate for any for renomination. Is 96 dayse primary away, but who is counting. On a personal note, it appears that he and i have something in common. The Vice President s grandfather immigrated to the United States from ireland in the early 1920s. He came from a little town in tippicurry. Called fatherearly 20s, my also came to this country, also from there. Village. Small in a chances are good that the two man knew of each other. Perhaps they were even cousins. What we do know, and i am sure that the Vice President will agree with me is that we are glad that those men made the decision to come to america, the land of opportunity. We are pleased that the Vice President could take the time to visit us while he is here in this great state of New Hampshire. Would you please join me in giving a warm welcome to the 48th Vice President of the United States, the honorable mike pence . [applause] v. P. Pence thank you all for that warm welcome and hello New Hampshire. Hello. V. P. Pence it is great to be back in the Granite State and to the doctor, and seen and some college. For all the great Business Leaders for the new England Council including jim, would you give him a round of applause. I was great deeply moved by that great introduction. Tt, the founder, and to all the extinguished elected officials and fellow americans, thank you for the welcome back to the home of the first in the nation primary in the state where a Movement Began. To make america strong again. To make america prosperous again, a Movement Began to make America Great again. The great state of New Hampshire. Really is a privilege to be here with all of you, and all of the great Business Leaders and students gathered today. As i begin, allow me to bring greetings from a friend of mine. As i was landing in New Hampshire i told him that i was headed to the statehouse to file papers on his behalf, and he wanted me to convey his deepest regards and affection, he is someone who loves the Granite State and said to me again today that he will always be grateful for the confidence that the people of New Hampshire placed in him in that first in the nation primary. Greetings from the 45th president of the United States of america, President Donald Trump. [applause] the president gave me the privilege today, as Vice President s have done before, to travel to New Hampshire to file his declaration of candidacy, and it was my honor to place the name of President Donald Trump on the ballot for the New Hampshire republican president ial primary scheduled for february 11 2020. [applause] as jim just confirmed to us, it is i guess, 96 days away. It is great to be here today to address politics and eggs. Moment to make a the case of the people of New Hampshire, and the people of america that just as New Hampshire knew in the republican primary nearly four years ago need newow once again hampshire and america to say yes to four more years of President Donald Trump in the white house. [applause] is, in voting to nominate President Donald Trump in the New Hampshire primary, republicans set into motion a movement and lead a shift that would transform our military, economy, and courts. You launched a movement that nominated a candidate and elected a president who is making America Great again. It is my great honor to be able to share the progress that we have made. It is amazing that we have done so much in just three short years. Despite analyst investigations and democrat attempts to overturn the results of the 2016 election, President Donald Trump has never stopped delivering on the promises that he made to the people of New Hampshire and the people of america. [applause] fredericks g fresh from the statehouse there is only way you one way you can describe the last three years. Three years of action, three years of results, three years of promises made and promises cap. We are kept. We are just getting started, which is why we need four more years of President Donald Trump in the white house. [applause] four years ago, President Trump spoke on this very campus at this podium about his vision for america, and four years later, think about all of the progress we have made in making that vision a reality. When you look at all that we have done, you have to conclude that President Donald Trump delivered. We have rebuilt our military and restored the arsenal of democracy. The American Economy is booming. We cut illegal immigration in half the past four months in the president has appointed a wreck number of conservatives to our courts at every level. Jobs are back. Confidences back, in a word, americas back New Hampshire, and we are just getting started. [applause] think about it. Starting with our National Security to provide for the common defense is the first object. This president promised after years of reckless cutbacks to rebuild our military, and President Donald Trump delivered. In fact this president has already signed the largest increases in our National Defense since the days of Ronald Reagan including the largest pay raise for our men and women in uniform in more than 10 years. [applause] you, as a proud father of a United States marine and very soon the fatherinlaw of a United States navy aviator i could not be more proud. To serve alongside a president who cares so deeply about the men and women of our armed forces and their families. Thanks to this president s leadership and strong support in the congress we are once again giving our soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, and coast guard resources and equipment they need to support to accomplish their mission to defend this nation. [applause] weh that renewed strength are standing with our allies and up to our enemies. As i stand before you today that i report that our nato allies are contributing more to their common defense than ever before. We have taken the fight to radical islamic terrorists on our terms on their soil. In march, at the direction of the commanderinchief, the armed forces captured every last inh of the isis caliphate syria and iraq. [applause] and now, nearly two weeks ago, as the world watched, thanks to the courage of our armed forces, and the decisive leadership of President Donald Trump, the United States of america brought the worlds number one terrorists lead terrorist justice. The leader of isis is dead and american in the world are safer as a result. [applause] all ofto tell you, for my experiences in Public Service, sitting next to the president in the situation room, watching in real time as u. S. Special forces descended on the count pound in northern stash the compound in northern compound in Northern Syria was deeply inspiring. Finest military in the history of the world, and they proved it one more time in that operation. [applause] incredible. So, we strengthen our National Security, restored americas standing in the world. It is standing tall again. We are putting America First again. Closer to home, our president told the people of New Hampshire four years ago that we could revive the American Economy after over the last administration for eight years the most powerful economy in the world had grown then less than 2 on average. President donald trump said that we could do better, and President Donald Trump delivered. He went right to work. To cut taxes for working families and businesses across the board, and before our first year was out, President Donald Trump signed the largest tax cuts in american history. The president is also someone who made a lifetime and grew up in a family business, and he understood it is not just taxes it is read pay. I am proud to report that in three short years, President Donald Trump has signed more bills repealing federal redtape than any president in american history. [applause] back when he was campaigning through New Hampshire i remember the promise. He promised that for every new regulation we put on the books that we would cut two regulations on businesses and Enterprises Across this nation. What i have to admit that we did not hit that mark. As i stand before you today, this president has eliminated eight federal regulations for every new regulation that is put on the books. Economicg an american renaissance. We predict that when all is said and done, President Trumps deregulatory agenda will save our economy 220 billion a year and that is costs that will be saved by businesses represented here. Beyond all of that we have unleashed American Energy like never before. I am proud to report that the United States of america is the largest producer of oil and natural natural gas in the world, and next year for the first time in 70 years america will be a net exporter of energy to the world. We are on the road to energy independence. [applause] just exporting energy, this president has been working from the early days to open up markets around the world. We have opened european markets to more American Farm products, re renegotiated our trade agreement with south korea. Japan ando more with President Trump has put china on notice that the era of economic surrender is over and negotiations are ongoing. I promise you, in our negotiations, this president will always put american jobs, agriculture, and America First. [applause] beyond all of those trade negotiations i am proud to report that it has been a little bit over a year and President Trump negotiated the largest trade deal in american history. It is called the u. S. Mexico, canada agreement, usmca for short periods according to the International Trade commission, it will add 68 billion to our economy and create more than 180 175,000 american jobs. President negotiated that deal over a year ago, and as i stand before you today New Hampshire, the usmca is sitting on the desk of the speaker of the house in washington, d. C. While i am here, let me each one of you, great Business Leaders and entrepreneurs all across this great state, and frankly all of you across new england and america, lend your support today, reach out to your elected officials in washington, d. C. And tell them that New Hampshire, new england, and america need the usmca and we needed this year. [applause] it has been about cutting taxes, rolling back regulation, unleashing American Energy and negotiating free and fair trade. The results have just been incredible. When you think about what this president s agenda has been to the economy it is hard to keep up with all the progress we are making. In selection day 2016, businesses large and small have created 6. 7 million good paying jobs including 17,000 jobs right here in the Granite State. [applause] i do not have to tell you that the stock market is breaking records left and right, in fact earlier this week all three of the stock market indexes set a record in a single day, making a difference in the lives of working families. I love the president often that he had a fellow walk up to him and thank him what was happening on the stock market and he said, mr. President , all you are doing for my economy, you make my wife think that i am a financial genius because their 401 k is rising. This is security for american pensioners. Everyone is benefiting from the growth. In three short years, the Dow Jones Industrial average is up by 9000 points, and the now increased and more points in the last three years than in the previous seven. More americans are benefiting from this economy because as i stand before you, there are more americans working today than ever before in the history of this country. [applause] , now, for more than a year and a half, these college kids will be excited to hear it, there are more job openings in America Today than there are americans looking for work. The American People know it. I will never forget that karen and i slipped away for a long day and a half vacation the other day. Atwere sitting on the beach one of our favorite spots in florida. And these two big boys can by wearing budweiser shorts and we had our ball caps on and we were sitting there in sunglasses and one fellow looks at me and said you are pence, arent you . I said yes sir, i am. I just have to say hello, and he said could you give them president a message. He said, you tell the president to keep doing what he is doing because i have made twice as much money last year as i made the year before. His friend was nodding just the same. Thei said, i will tell president exactly what you said. He smiled, took two steps away and looked at me and said and i do not know what you do but keep doing what you are doing too. The truth is, the American People are feeling it. There are one million more job openings in america than americans looking for work. The Unemployment Rate today has dropped to eight near 50 year low. The Unemployment Rate for women is at a 65 year low. We have seen the lowest unemployment recorded for africanamericans americans and hispanic americans, the American Dream is working for every american. [applause] it is incredible. And people feel it. It is working across the country. The Unemployment Rate is below 5 and . 48, 4 and 45 states. Unemployment making New Hampshire tied for the Second LowestUnemployment Rate in america. Great job New Hampshire. While. Wow. It is more jobs, but it is also better jobs. Under this president s leadership, the average household has seen their disposable income go up by more than 5,000 a year. Wages are rising at their fastest pace in more than a decade. Most importantly to the president and me, it is that wages are rising most rapidly for hardworking, bluecollar americans, the forgotten men and women of america are forgotten no more. [applause] it is thanks to the president s agenda and the confidence that republicans paid placed in the candidate who filed just about four years ago this week, america is prospering like never before. This president also knows that the foundation of our prosperity is security, and i want to assure you that for the first day of this administration, this president and our entire team have been working to keep our communities and country safe. Working close to closely with governor chris sununu, we have taken governors off our streets. The dea has removed more than 26 tons of opioids from american communities. Over the last three years, i am proud to report that Strong Partnership with local and state Law Enforcement and places all across this country over the last three years, opioidrelated prosecutions have gone up by 40 . We are getting serious and leaning into the fight against drug dealers in this country. [applause] year, and New Hampshire, federal prosecutors charged more than double the number of drug defendants and in 2016. These efforts are bringing relief to communities, like those in southern New Hampshire. Some communities have been hit the hardest, the communities across this region and the state. I want to commend governor chris sununu who has leaned into this effort with a strong commitment to Law Enforcement and treatment. Would you join me in thanking governor chris sununu and all he has done . [applause] in fact, in Strong Partnership with New Hampshire and states across this nation, i am proud to report we have made progress. Rates have gone down here in New Hampshire over the last three years in particular. The truth is we are making progress but it is modest progress, but i promise you, this president , this administration, will not rust or relent until we bring the scourge of opioid abuse and addiction to an end. [applause] so, we are standing up for our National Security, keeping communities safe, growing the American Economy it has all been what has happened the last three days since that primary election day where republicans in New Hampshire saw a leader that could make this country great again. As we celebrated in the east room in the white house yesterday, i know here in the live free or die state, i know how grateful you all are that this president kept his word, today,i stand before you has appointed more than 150 conservative judges to our level, courts at every including Justice Neil Gorsuch and Justice Brett kavanaugh. It was remarkable. We met yesterday in the white house with republican members of the Senate Judiciary committee. They reflected on how as a candidate, our president took the unprecedented step of literally publishing a list of people he would draw from, men and women who believed in applying the constitution from an originalist basis who believed in interpreting laws as written and not legislating from the bench. Having the privilege to interview all the finalists for those last two Supreme Court nominations having met many of the men and women that have been confirmed to our courts, this is an entire generation of judges added to our federal courts at every level who will support all that godgiven liberties enshrined in our constitution, like the freedom of religion, the freedom of speech, and the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. [applause] so, we have made great progress. We have made great progress in this country for security, for our economy, for our highest and cherished ideals. Let me also say i could not be more proud to serve as vice prolife to the most president in american history, and under this president , this party and this movement will always stand for the right to life. [applause] so, you just three years, america and New Hampshire are winning again, and under President Donald Trump, we are going to keep on lane. We have made America Great again , but to keep America Great, we have worked to do. That is why he gave me the great privilege today to add his name to the ballot here in this firstinthe nation primary state. The is New Hampshire and america very soon will have the truth is mantra and america very soon will have a choice to make. We are now in an election year. It will be a choice on whether we stay on the path that has created on unprecedented security in this country, or if will take a hard left turn that the people in New Hampshire are hearing a lot about from all the people running for the other partys nomination. America is stronger than ever before. We are more prosperous than ever before. But the truth is, all of that progress could be lost in one badday in november a one day in november a year from now. If the policies advocated by democrats running for president take hold in the white house, we will go back to deep cuts in our military. We will go back to policies that would wreck the economy, take us back to what they used to call in the last administration, the economicl of week growth. I mean, think about it where this president cut taxes, every single one of them is talking about raising taxes. Where we have rolled back red tape, they are committed to piling it on. More command and control coming out of washington, d. C. , for businesses large and small. Where we have unleashed energy rain iton, they will back in. Lastly, it is remarkable to see leading candidates for the highest office in the land in the Democratic Party today that are advocating ideas like abolishing private health insurance, legalizing illegal immigration. I mean, it is extraordinary to think how far left the other party has gone. You know, i watched that last democratic debate. S, kind of, my job i figure there is a Vice President ial nominee in there somewhere. I have to tell you, they were all standing so far on the left i thought that stage was going to tip over. I mean, if you ran up all the numbers of all the things they are talking about every budgetbusting proposal youre talking about from medicare to all to the green new deal, it would cost the average tax holder 70,000 a year. Ple in New Hampshire know they actually know that we can do better. Here in the live free or die state, it is not freedom. It is about opening up opportunities. Stand with a border with canada, i was told that even though New Hampshire exports more than 1 billion of goods and services to our neighbors to the north and south, not one democrat running for president today is supporting the usmca. Literally, on one issue after another, the democrats running for president want to take us back in the direction of a weaker National Defense, a weaker national economy, let alone walking away from the timeless ideals and values that make this country great, make our families strong. I think what is most remarkable to me, finally, is that leading candidates for the Democratic Party, for president of the United States, openly advocate an Economic System that has robbedished millions and the liberties of generations in the last century. That system is called socialism. The truth is, those arent the value that values that are synonymous with New Hampshire. Stateople in the granite live by the words of that revolutionary war hero, general john stark i have recited the more than once today. What you understand is it is freedom. The people in New Hampshire know better than most from your rich and meaningful history in the state that it was freedom, not gave us the most prosperous and powerful nation in the history of the world. [applause] it was freedom. It was freedom, not socialism, that ended slavery, and it to the world wars, and has america standing as a beacon of hope for all the world. I believe the moment becomes a socialist country is the moment america seeks to be america. I believe it is incumbent on all of us, maybe especially you here in this first in the nation primary state to say with one voice, as President Trump said in his state of the union address, america will never be a socialist country. [applause] you know, the truth of the matter is it will not be about winning the next election. We have to win the next generation. It is in common on each of us to explain to americans in the rising generation where our strength comes from, where our prosperity comes from. New hampshire has always been a beacon of those american ideals and values. You know, the truth is as the election is now less than a year ity, people always say that is the most important election of our lifetime. I mean it is especially true this time. The stakes have never been higher. I think it is especially true this time. The stakes have never been higher. The choices have never been clear. By reelecting President Donald Trump, we will build on the momentum that has made America Great again and security, securing our borders, prospering our economy through American Freedom and strengthening the foundations of constitutional liberties that americans have defended throughout our long and storied history. And the contrast is if the election where to go the other way, those gains could be wiped out, with less investment in our National Defense, more taxes, more regulation, declining savings for america, and economic surrender abroad, let alone walking away from the values that strengthen our nation. But let me tell you something from my heart. As democrats in washington spend their time on endless investigations and partisan impeachment, i will make you a promise. President donald trump and i are never going to stop fighting to keep the promises we made to the people of New Hampshire and the people of america. [applause] we are never going to stop fighting to keep the promises that have made this country more secure, that it made this country more prosperous. You know, four years ago, President Trump came here to saint and some any made it a and he made a promise to make America Great. The people of New Hampshire in the republican primary for their confidence in him as many did across this state and this nation. I will be excited to be back in New Hampshire again and again and excited to be in new and went again. The truth of the matter is three years out and one year out, we have a record to talk about it is a mess record of promises made and president s promises kept. It is a record of how we can keep America Great. It is an honor to be with you today. Thank you for the well warm welcome to politics and eggs. I have delivered the one. I have received not the other. Highly with confidence and gratitude. Give a round of applause to selm if you would for opening up this historic place. [applause] i leave here today fresh from the collision of having fresh from the privilege of having placed the name of my friend and our president on the ballot in the republican primary here. An incredible privilege for me. It truly was. I leave here today encouraged and confident that with your continued support all across the Granite StatePresident Donald Trump in the white house for four more years with allies who share our ideals and values elected at every level, we are going to keep New Hampshire growing again. We are going to keep america winning. We are going to make america stronger than ever before. And with four more years for President Donald Trump in the white house, and with gods help, the best is yet to come for him New Hampshire and america. Thank you very much. God bless you. God bless New Hampshire. And god bless america.
