China trade negotiations. This is just over an hour. They will be doing certain things for us. I want to also thank the Minneapolis Police department, they have been so incredible with what they have done. Tomorrow, we have a tremendous amount of people planned to go. The requests have been incredible. So i think it is a great state and we will have a lot of fun tomorrow night, a lot of you will be with us. Friday night, we will be going to louisiana. There will be a big election on saturday to see whether or not there is a runoff. Most likely. I think we will do very well. Republicans are doing very well despite the witchhunt they have on republicans. So i want to thank everybody for coming to the white house on this important occasion. In a few moments, i will signed executive orders to expand our regulatory Reduction Campaign that is helping to fuel our economic boom. The stock market is up close to 250 points today and this is despite trade deals that are getting done one by one. We are getting a deal with south korea, a really big one. And we did when yesterday with and we did when yesterday with japan. That goes into effect now. Tremendous for our farmers. As you know, we have china coming. They will be coming tomorrow. We have the vice premier of china coming. So we have a lot of big things happening. We have tremendous deals under negotiation. So despite all that, we have a great economy integrate market. And a great market. Our Housing Market is on fire. And things are really doing well. You look at asia, they are not doing well. China is having a hard time. And i want to make a deal badly. So we have a lot of things that are exciting. And to be in the midst of negotiating some of the worst trade deals ever made, and to be breaking them up and changing them for the good of the american taxpayer and for our country, and to still be doing so well we had over 100 recordbreaking stock markets 121 or something, i will get you the exact number, but many days we broke the record. And we continue to do well. When the trade deals are done and certain other things are done, it will be at a level that is incredible. That was the cutest noise. [laughter] pres. Trump i am used to hearing them. [laughter] pres. Trump there is nothing cute about them. [laughter] pres. Trump so beautiful. Do not feel bad. He can do whatever he wants. That is a beautiful sound. Today we take action to protect americans from bureaucracy and to stop regulators from opposing secret rules and hidden penalties on the american people. We are delighted to be joined on this occasion by acting director who has done a fantastic job, the Deputy Attorney jeffrey rosen. Are you busy enough, jeff . And congressman mark meadows. Mark, fantastic that you are here. Louisianas solicitor general, i will be there, liz . I will see you on friday. Thank you very much. Several other state and local officials, we want to thank you all for being here. For decades, they have been issuing pages of guidance documents, regulation imposed by unaccountable bureaucrats in the form of commentary on how the rules should be interpreted. All too often, the guidance documents are a backdoor for regulators to effectively change the laws and expand their scope and reach. Guidance has frequently been used to subject u. S. Citizens and businesses to arbitrary and sometimes abusive Enforcement Actions ha it sounds like they are talking about me. [laughter] pres. Trump i think they are talking about me. I might have a conflict in signing this. Because of these materials, and the fact that these materials are too often hidden, Many Americans learn of the rules only when the federal agents come knocking on their door. This Regulatory Overreach greatly undermines our constitutional system of government, unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats must not be able to operate outside of the democratic system of government. Wow. Imposing their own private agenda on our citizens. A permanent federal be accuracy cannot be a Fourth Branch of government, unanswerable to american voters. In america, the people must always reign. With this is andy johnson from wyoming, a great place, his family is one of many that suffered from the absurd read definitions and interpretations of federal bureaucrats. Andy is here to say some words. I would like to hear that, because i think you might be speaking about me or to me. Where is he . Come up here with that beautiful baby. Andy thank you for having me and my wife, morgan, and my son. I work as a welder in wyoming and five years ago, when i applied for a stock bond permit for my private property, i had no idea that the epa would come knocking on my door and threaten me and my family civilly, criminally and with a fine of 37,500 per day. The fines were up to 16 million when the Legal Foundation stepped in and sued the epa on my behalf and my family. At that point, the epa changed their attitude and we were able to come to an agreement. We won our case, but unlike a lot of other middleclass americans, that is not the case. They we could have never fought. The litigation was way too expensive. So i want to thank the president today for signing this executive order, which will hold the epa and other Government Agencies more responsible for their actions. Thank you. [applause] pres. Trump so they had you up to 16 million . That is peanuts for you, right . That is great. Glad it worked out. And it is working out even better. We are also joined by richard, who was prevented from expanding his business because of the obscure Regulatory Guidance on rule from the 1980s, an old rule. Richard, talk about it. Please. Richard thank you. Mr. President , i would like to thank you for the invitation to speak and bring attention to the reform to the rulemaking process. I operate familyowned business in fairbanks, alaska. We purchased some land for our business about 20 years ago, so we could move operations out of town to the new facility. And expand our facilities. We spent the better part of 10 years and over 300,000 dollars fighting with the regulatory agencies over the arbitrary nature of the army corps of engineers wetlands designation and other use of the alaska supplement versus the 1987 congressionally mandated wetlands manual. This effort is also it does not include the time and energy put forth by the pacific Legal Foundation on our behalf. I would like to thank them as well. The last straw for us was when we lost our appeal in the ninth circuit court, when they held that the agencies can make the regulations they want and require without congressional approval and oversight. Im hopeful that the changes made today with this executive order, other landowners it will not be negatively impacted as we have been. Thank you again for this opportunity. Pres. Trump that is great. [applause] pres. Trump thank you, richard. You mentioned the ninth circuit. We have a lot of good new judges in the ninth circuit and we will be close to 182 new judges over short amount of time. So we are in record territory by a lot. So we will have 182 new federal judges, not including two Supreme Court judges. I guess we are already at the 156 number, jeff and mark, about 156 judges now who are signed and sitting and doing a great job. We will be at 182 before we normalize. Meaning retirement and various other reasons that they leave. And we could average about 40 or so a year from that process, so we will have probably a very big Record Number of judges, federal judges come in this administration. And i want to thank president obama for leaving us 138 empty slots. Because that is a first. I said, how many . They said, you have 138. I said, you have to be getting. I want to thank you, president obama. Richard, thank you for your nice words. When americans and other businesses are suited by Government Agencies, they are sometimes not given an explanation as to what they did wrong or how they can fix it. With us is kevin, whose company was forced out of business through the terrible practice of a certain way of government handling of things. Not fair, not right. Kevin, come up and discuss it. Thank you. Kevin my name is kevin, i am a thirdgeneration cattle ranger at the National Seashore in california. About several years ago, we also where the owners of the drakes bay oyster farm, a sustainable Family Business where we produced nearly half of all the oysters in the state of california. In 2014, the National Park Service Launched a National Environmental policy act process that cost millions of dollars and lasted over eight years. And they forced our oyster from out of business. If that wasnt enough, today, the rest of agriculture, which includes another 24 ranching family farm businesses within the National Seashore are facing the exact same process. Our fear is that process could ultimately be facing, those families may be facing with the oyster farm faced. And we are thinking thanking you for calling this meeting together to have this discussion, and we urge you to continue your work in following these policies and making sure that these federal policies are managed in away that family farmers and rangers like us can actually benefit and survive these these procedures. And so they are not just for federal agencies who have predecided what they want before the process has begun, and for professional litigants that abuse the process. Thank you. Pres. Trump thank you. [applause] pres. Trump is the business gone . It is gone, 20 million oysters destroyed. Pres. Trump wow, they force you out of business . Yes. Pres. Trump i have to say, kevin. I know what you have been through. I have heard about it. It is very sad, but we want to thank you for being here. No american should ever face such persecution from their own government, except perhaps your president. Do not feel bad come kevin. Do not feel bad, kevin. They treated you better than they treat me. I do believe that is true. I do believe that is true, meadows. Today, i am taking action to stop it. My First Executive order will require agencies to publish guidance documents online, so that Small Businesses and everyday citizens can easily find them. Agencies will have to Seek Public Input on the most important guidance and the whole process will be closely overseen by the white house. We will have somebody in the white house looking at it, kevin, so this does not happen to other people. You are very brave to be here. I really mean it. Americans will no longer be subject to the rules of hidden games that are played on the public. The second order i will sign will protect american citizens from secret interpretations of regulations, unexpected penalties and violations of their rights. From now on, agencies will be required to inform individuals about any case against them and respond to their arguments. It will be the agencys duty to fully educate Small Businesses about new regulatory changes. Todays action is the latest step in my administrations fight to curtail job killing, soul crushing regulations. I want to thank jeff for a great job. The Justice Department did a fantastic job and i want to thank you. We ended the war in american energy. We are canceling restrictions that devastated american autoworkers. We are stopping regulations that micromanage our great farmers. We are bringing Major Companies back to our country, they want to be here with a hot economy. We are the place they want to be. We are reversing the last administrations ridiculous attack on incandescent lightbulbs. We are also working cars are very expensive, far too expensive, and we will bring the price of cars down about 3500. At the same time, make the car a lot more affordable and a lot safer. So we will have affordability, safety, and we will also get some of the old cars off the roads, because people will have an incentive to purchase a new car that is a lot less of a problem from an environmental standpoint. It is an amazing thing. We are going against california. They make their cars so light, it is papiermache. When you get in an accident, it is very dangerous. So we are coming up with a new standard and i think it will be something special. It has gotten tremendous receptivity. Same thing with the inconsistent lights. Aside from the fact you look better, who cares about looks, but you look better with incandescent lights. They were not allowed. And you have the privilege of buying now a much more expensive lightbulb under the past rules. A much more extensive lightbulb that does not have a goodlooking night, but importantly, when the bulb is no good, it is literally considered a Hazardous Waste site, because it is all the gases. If it breaks, you are supposed to bring it to a certain location. Who does that . Nobody does. It is very dangerous. So we have we are allowing people to choose, they can purchase less expensive lightbulbs. It will look better. Or they can spend more money on what they were doing and that is fine too. They may like it. It might last longer, that is ok. But it is still a hazardous situation when you have to dispose of these things, whereas in the old system you do not have that, so we are bringing back the contestant lightbulbs. We like to have alternatives. At the start of my presidency i imposed a rule on regulations requiring that for every new regulation, two old regulations must be eliminated. In the first two years of the obama, Sleepy Joe Biden administration, the cost of Regulatory Compliance went up by 245 billion. Can you believe that . In our administration, we have taken it down by more than that. 245 billion up, we took it down by much more than that. According to economic counsel of advisors, Wrigley Torrey are regulatory reductions will save the average American Household over. 3000 over 3000 every single year, thanks to tax cuts and proamerican trade policies. So our economy is stronger than it has ever been. That is despite all the negotiations we are doing to really make us into something that we have never seen before, meaning fair trade deals. We have created 6. 4 million new jobs. Unemployment reached its lowest rate last month in over 50 years. The africanamerican, hispanic american on opponent have hit unemployment rates have hit historic lows. We have more people working in the u. S. Today than at any time in the history of our country. Wages are rising very fast. Twice as fast for low income workers. The biggest beneficiary is the low income worker, the wages are rising at a rate we have not seen in many decades. When i first started campaigning, many of you were with me and i used to talk about workers that would make more. Years ago, 21 years ago, then they made a few years ago. Because now it has gone up a lot. But a few years ago. And they had two or three jobs, yet they did better 21 years before. With todays executive order, we continue this incredible economic success. And we defend american liberties for generations to come. I want to invite the acting director of omb to say a few words about the exciting news. When he is finished we will sign the executive orders. Thank you very much. Thank you. It is the results of your leadership that we are making a major step forward in the effort to drain the swamp and to get our arms around the ministry of state. We cannot do that until we know all of the dark regulatory stealth regulation that is out there, that is one reason why we are asking all agencies to be putting on their website, on a searchable website, all these regulations, so we can understand what it is and anything not but there is rescinded. Secondly, we want to make sure that families and Small Businesses are no longer bullied by the federal government. We have all had to deal with the Motor Department down the street, thing about dealing with the federal government, that is a different situation and people who have flown in on their own dime to be part of this television can attest to that. We want to make sure that there are no stories ever again of people being bullied by their federal government. We are thrilled you took this on and we are looking forward to the executive orders. Thank you. [applause] pres. Trump ok folks, gather around. [laughter] pres. Trump where is kevin . Here you go. [applause] pres. Trump [indiscernible] thank you very much, everybody. Congratulations. Congratulations. [applause] mr. President , can you talk about the attacks on syria and pres. Trump we have no soldiers in the area. We have been talking to turkey for three years. They have been wanting to do this for many years. They have been fighting each other for centuries. They have been fighting each other for hundreds of years, this has been going on. We were put into this battle, interjected. It was supposed to be a 30 day period and we have been there for many years. It is time to get out. Speaking with both sides, we have told the turkish president how we feel, but we are speaking to both sides to see what can be made out of a situation. But we have no soldiers in the area. We are getting out of the endless wars. And eventually somebody was going to have to make the decision. Frankly, we are getting praise for that decision. People are saying to bring people back home. We are really serving, we were serving as a police force. We defeated isis, we defeated the caliphate 100 . President erdogan and the existing groups of people, including the kurds. But you have the pkk, which is a natural enemy of turkey, and likewise and opposite. They have been fighting for many years. They are bitter enemies and possibly always will be. So we are out of theire. We have been out of there for a while. No soldiers whatsoever. We are taking some of the most dangerous isis fighters out. We have taken them out and we are putting them in different locations where it is secure. In addition to the kurds, they are watching, if they do not watch then turkey is going to watch, because they do not want to those people out anymore than we do. We have taken a certain number of isis fighters that are particularly bad, we wanted to make sure that Nothing Happened with them with respect to getting out. And i think we are doing a great job. I think that the people of this country i campaigned with ending the endless wars we are all over the world, nobody knows what they are doing over there. I feel that we are doing the right thing and i think the country feels that too. We have had support outside of little washington. Even in washington, people are saying you are doing the right thing. It has to be done, otherwise you will never do it. At the same time, we are dealing with both sides and we will see what we can do. President erdogan the kurdish side. Are you concerned about escalation . Are you concerned that president erdogan will wipe out the kurds . Pres. Trump i will wipe out his economy if that happens. I have already done it once. Im sure that i hope he will act rationally. You have to understand, they have been fighting each other for many decades. Actually, for centuries they have been fighting each other. And it was time for the americans we did a great job. We took care of isis. We captured 100 remember, i was thinking of leaving at 97 , that last 3 was the hardest. They told me it would take about two years to do it and i did it in a month. I flew to iraq and i met with the generals there. I said, we can do it in two weeks to a month and we did it in a month. And we did it. In the meantime, we have been watching over a lot with the kurds, watching over a lot of prisoners, some very bad people. A few in particular that are very bad, really bad. And some of those people we have already taken, we have taken them out. They should go back to europe. Many of them came from europe. They should go back to germany, france. I spoke with Boris Johnson a couple to the u. K. They came from various parts of europe. They did not come from our country. And we did them a big favor. We sent to france, germany and we said to various countries in europe, we would like you to take your people back. We do not want them. We do not want them either. Nobody wants them, they are bad. But somebody has to watch over them. We did you wait big favor. Take your people back. They are citizens of those countries, france and germany. They did not want to take them back. I gave them one chance, i gave them another chance, i gave them a third chance and even a fourth chance. I do not blame them, they are used to this with the u. S. , taking advantage of the United States, whether it is on trade or through nato, taking advantage of the United States. But we think that maybe the kurds will do a job. If not the kurds, turkey will do a job. But we have thousands of people, thousands. I do not know if you know that, we have thousands of captured fighters. Tens of thousands of family members. And we did a big favor to a lot lot of countries and those countries did not want to take them back. That is the way it goes. What about if the isis fighters escape and pose a threat elsewhere . Pres. Trump they will be escaping to europe. Europe did not want to them. They could have had trials, they could have done what they wanted, but as usual it is not reciprocal. My favorite word, reciprocal. That is what i want. I do not want an edge, i want reciprocal. It is not a fair deal for the United States. When president obama took the pkk, you know where they bring in the pkk, that is a tough deal because that has been a mortal enemy of turkey. So when you bring them into a partnership, that is a tough situation. It is tougher turkey and it is tough for them. They have hated each other for many years. For hundreds of years. It is amazing when you look at history and you look at culture. You look at the length of time, they have been fighting for so long. So we impose ourselves into it. I said it yesterday, the single worst country of the United States if you take a look at what we are doing with these countries and the relationships we have with countries, may be putting it a different way the worst mistake that the United States has ever made was going into the middle east. It is a quagmire. We are up close to 8 trillion and we are bringing our folks back home. We have talented military and we are bringing them back home. Our military has never been stronger, but we are now acting as police. We are policing areas, doing jobs other countries should be doing. We are doing jobs europe should be doing. We are doing jobs russia should be doing. That iran and iraq should be doing. Turkey and syria should be doing. They should be doing this. We are 7000 miles away. Lindsey graham is talking about imposing sanctions on turkey, what do you think about that . Pres. Trump i think that is ok. I already told that the present article. I will do more than sanctions. I think lindsay would like to stay there for the next 200 years, maybe add a couple hundred thousand people every place. But i disagree with him on that. But i will tell you that i do agree on sanctions. But i think much tougher. If he does not do it in a humane way. But i have gotten him to stop virtually from the first day i was in office, but they have wanted to fight and that is the way it is. Go ahead. What is the humane way, what does that mean . Pres. Trump we will have to define that as we go along. You listen to president erdogan, he wants to have people go back to where they came from, go back to syria. He is Holding Millions of people right now. That would be all over the place if he was not holding them. He wants to repatriate, have them go back to the area that he is looking at. We will see how he does it. He could do it in a soft manner, or in a tough manner. If he doesnt unfairly, he will pay a big does it unfairly, he will pay a big price. You said to nancy pelosi, you appear to declare war on the impeachment inquiry. Can you tell us why it is incumbent upon the house to authorize the inquiry and the vote and whether it would be positive to cooperate . Pres. Trump the Republican Party, and president , but the Republican Party has been treated extremely badly by the democrats, very unfairly. Because they have a tiny margin in the house, they have eviscerated the rules. They do not give us any fairplay. It is the most unfair situation people have seen. You cannot have lawyers, you cannot speak. You virtually cannot do anything. Then they have a guy named adam schiff. Nancy pelosi is just as guilty. But you have adam schiff, i had a perfect phone call with the president of ukraine like, perfect. They heard adam schiffs version of it and he defrauded the American Public. He gave the most horrible rendition come adding his own words. Mark meadows is here. Honestly, you did not believe it when you heard it. And mark has never heard anything like it. And many of the people that we work with, including democrats, have never heard anything like that. He made up the phone call. They spoke about a day too early. They heard a whistleblower who came out with a full story. People say, it was close, it was not close at all. The whistleblower said, no relationship to what the call had. We have a transcribed call done by professionals. It was a perfect call. But adam schiff made it up. Then it turns out the whistleblower was in cahoots with adam schiff. Then it turns out that the whistleblower is a democrat, a strong democrat, and is working with one of my opponents as a democrat that i could end up running against. The whole thing is a scam. It is a fix. And we wrote a letter yesterday, probably will end up being a Supreme Court case, maybe it will go a long time. But the Republican Party has been treated badly and unfairly by the democrats. If they hold a vote and if it were to pres. Trump that sounds ok. We would if they gave us our rights. If they say you cannot ask questions or have anybody present, all these crazy things. Even some of the reporters said, it really is an unfair situation, they ask the questions and then the ambassador who testified was a fine gentleman and he gave great testimony for us. But we do not get to do any of that or show any of that, so they brought out only a couple of negative things, all which were knocked out by his other statements. It was a great witness for us, but if you wouldve listened to them you wouldve said it was a better witness for them. It was not even close. He was a fine gentleman. We saw it and is it was unfair. The report this afternoon is that the chinese are lowering their expectations freetrade deal, are you also lowering expectations . Pres. Trump i dont think so. I think they feel i am driving a tough bargain, but i have to. You know it better than anybody. You do a good job over there, i watch a lot. We are so far down in terms of where we started from president s who did not do their job for many years. Since the wto founding, china went in in 2001 and just ripped off the world. So i told that the president xi. I said, this cannot be a 5050 deal. If it is a 5050 deal, you are up there and we are down here. So that does not work. You need to have some balance. It has to be a better deal from our standpoint. And i think they fully understand. One of the really good meetings i had today was with our people on opioids and drugs. And fentanyl with respect to your question, and they said that chinese leadership has a lot of respect for our president , and it they are really being much more careful. It is a much different situation. We have some good drug numbers. If you are down 15 , 20 , it is still horrible what is going on in this country and in the whole world. But i think they have a lot of respect for us, the first time they have ever respected us. I think china has respect for me and for our country and what we are doing. And i think they cannot believe what they have gotten away with for so many years. Went about putting pressure on the . Pres. Trump the nba is a different thing. Steve carter was so scared to even questions. He was shaking. Oh, i do not know. He did not know how to answer the question. He will talk about the United States very badly. I watched popovich doing the same thing, but he was not quite as scared. They talk badly about the United States, but on china they do not want to say anything bad. I thought it was sad, actually. It will be very interesting. Are you ok with the Chinese Government pressuring the nba . Pres. Trump they have to work out their own situation. They know what they are doing. I watch the way that like kerr and popovich and some of the others were pandering to china and yet to our own country it is like they do not respect it, it is like they do not respect it. I said, isnt it sad. To me it is very sad. Joe biden came out today and said that you should be impeached. Your response . Pres. Trump he is falling like a rock. We have them on tape with corruption. He is getting the prosecutor for i guess it was 2 billion, saying we will not give you the 2 billion unless you get rid of this prosecutor. Then the prosecutor was gone. That was the prosecutor it was 1. 2 billion. Then his son takes out 1. 5 billion from china. By the way, the 50,000 a month he was getting, it looks like it is 168,000 split among him and a friend. And also there is a payment of 3 million to his son. His son just got thrown out of the navy. So joe biden is dropping like a rock. I do not think he is going to make it. I do not think he is going to make it. And guess this is one way to do it. He did not say that until right now. I guess he is no longer the front runner. But, look, i feel badly for him because i know that he is going through a lot. He has been hit and caught redhanded. Here is a man who is on tape saying exactly what he is going to do in terms of corruption, and he gets away with it. If that ever happened to a republican, they would give him the electric chair. He would be walked into the electric chair right now. It is a different standard. What joe biden said on tape. This is not like, we think. What he said on tape and at the fake media does not want to play the tape. They hardly play it. So i feel that it is too bad what is happening to him. His campaign is a sinking. But he walked away with hundreds his son, you look at the numbers, his son is at best incompetent, thrown out of the navy. I do not even want to say why. A subject we just discussed. And all of a sudden he is making a deal with ukraine, getting 168,000 a month between the two of them . 168,000 a month and he gets 3 million payments. And all the money coming out. The kid has no expertise in energy and it is an energy company. You and i both know more than he does, john. And then you walk into china and a couple days later, 10 days later, he gets 1. 5 billion out of china. And he has no expertise. And i have friends who are the smartest people on wall street, i said, is that possible . They say, no. It is a sad situation. I want to clarify. If nancy pelosi holds a vote on the floor for impeachment and you will participate in the investigation . Pres. Trump if the rules are fair. If republicans get a fair shake, because republicans have been look, we were very nice to them. When paul ryan was a speaker he would not give subpoenas. I am not saying good, bad or indifferent. Here is a man who does it well. They go in with all the corruption and all the things they did wrong with james comey and all these people, all the things they did wrong. When we wanted to subpoena, meaning they wanted a subpoena, it was hard to get it. Im not sure they issued a subpoena. Nancy pelosi says come and get them, gives them to jerry nadler, crooked adam schiff, he is one crooked guy. He made up my phone call. Think of it. In the u. S. Congress, he made up my phone call. I have had people who said, i did not like the way that you talked to the ukrainian president. I said, did you read my speech . No, i heard adam schiff. I said, let me see what he said. A lot of people saw that. Frankly, i think if it was not for me i am not sure anybody would have called him out. He took my really, believe it or not, gentle words and he made me sound like a tyrant. He defrauded the American Public. Honestly, i do not know what can happen, but some say he should be prosecuted for what he did. He should certainly be impeached. But you should be prosecuted. I think he is a bad leader of this movement. On the phone call there is a report today that the whistleblower says a white house official came to him and said you committed a crime on the call, did any white house official expressed concern to you or speak to you about the phone call . Pres. Trump it is only big con. You have the phone call, it is the transcript. That is why they keep saying the whistleblower said this or that. If they wouldve seen the transcript early, they would not have had a whistleblower because he would not have said there was nothing he could say. All you have to do is read the transcript. Very calm. What is more important than the transcript . It was plainvanilla. No emotion. These are crooked people, democrats headed by a big democrat lawyer. It is a con job. It is a con perpetrated on the public. Even the world. The world is watching and they get it better than a lot of other people. It is very interesting. A poll came out today. Even though i only get negative press from you people, not you, but that is the way it is. Look, all you have to do is read the transcript. You know what is almost as good as the transcript, i think, is the ukrainian president saying he did not even know what they were talking about. No pressure. The foreign minister of ukraine saying, no, it was a normal call. There was no pressure at all. What is that is when you see all of the elements, when you see that adam schiff saw the whistleblower and you see what the whistleblower said about the phone call and it was totally different, he made it up. I do not know why a person that did frauds the American Public should be protected, ok. That person tried to bury the transcript pres. Trump that i do not know. I can say this. I assume it was for leaks. I have no idea. I am answering, because this city is like the leaking capital of the world. If you want to get something to the press, just hand it to somebody in washington. I read that it was for leaks. What is a big deal, i think they are trying to protect it from leaks. We gave that transcript over almost immediately. We did not wait until now. Now would be immediately. It has only been doing it for three weeks. We gave up almost immediately. When i heard the phony version. When i heard what was being said by this socalled whistleblower and it was the person in between the whistleblower and hearing about this, the conversation . The conversation was a perfect conversation. But who is the person given the information . I am not sure that person exists. I think it is important to find out who that person is, because we could have a spy. I do not want to have spies when i am negotiating with china and syria and all of the countries. If you look at turkey, with erdogan. And kim jongun. I do not want to have spies in the white house, want to be free to make calls. I do not think it is fair for somebody to interpret a call. I do not mind a misinterpretation, but this was a fraud. That call was perfect. If you read the whistleblowers report, that had no resemblance to what the call was. Let me go back to the conversation with Boris Johnson. There was a case involving a car crash and a diplomats wife, what did you decide . Pres. Trump what we are going to do it is a complex issue, as you know, because we are talking about diplomatic immunity, which is quite a subject in itself. You could lecture me on it, i suspect. It is quite a subject. A terrible accident occurred. The person driving the car, they know who it was and they have it on camera. A young man was killed on his motorcycle. He was killed. It sounds like instantly killed. The woman through diplomatic immunity left the u. K. And came back to america. And what i am going to try to do, and see, because i understand where the people from the u. K. And frankly, he a lot of americans feel the same way. I said, we have a lot of americans who side on the fact that you have two wonderful parents who lost their son, and the woman was driving on the wrong side of the road. That happens. I will not say it ever happened to me, but it did. When you get used to our system and you are in another system, it happens. You have to be very careful. So a young man was killed. The person that was driving the automobile has diplomatic immunity. We are going to speak to her very shortly and see if we can do something. It was an accident. It was a terrible accident. We are going to speak to her and we are going to see the person driving the car. The wife of the diplomat. We are going to speak to her and see what we can come up with, so there is anger over it. G. It is a terrible incident. I understand the anger from the other side. When you met with Robert Mueller in may of 2017 in the oval office, were you interviewing him for the position of fbi, and were you aware at that time that he had had prior conversations about potentially becoming . Pres. Trump to your second question, no, i had no idea he was doing that. To the first question, he wanted to become the fbi director and i said, no. I said, you have been there for 12 years and i said, no. It has been proven i was right. Plus, we have witnesses. I interviewed numerous people that day. He was one of the numerous people making a decision, ultimately, but he was one of the people. I said no, nicely and respectfully. Was it a conflict of interest . Pres. Trump i knew about it, we did not speak about that because i was not going to accept him. That may be one of the reasons i said no. I did have conflict of interest with Robert Mueller. We had a business dispute. I thought that we had three basic conflicts of interest and none of them were good. But we had a business dispute. I thought he was there for 12 years, that was long enough, especially when you saw what happened with the fbi. Nobody respects the fbi more than i do. If you took a vote in the fbi, they would let me president right now. But the leadership was terrible. Whether it was james comey or anybody. That leadership turned out to be a disaster for this country when you look at paige, and to the insurance policy. You know, she is going to win, but in case she doesnt we have an insurance policy. The only means one thing, there is no other interpretation. Robert mueller wanted to be the director and i turned him down, turned him down very nicely and respectfully. The other element of the question i never heard that until recently. The trade deal with china , are you optimistic a deal will be reached . Pres. Trump they want to make a deal more than i do, ok . Im very happy. We are taking in billions in tariffs. Despite what the news was a saying, there is no inflation, there is not a price increase if any, because they have devalued their currency and they are pouring money into their system. They have lost 3. 5 million jobs and their supply chain is breaking up like a broken egg. They want to make a deal. The question is do i want to make a deal . The answer would be, if we make the right deal i think it would be a good thing for china. What about concessions on ip . Pres. Trump look, there are so many false reports and everybody is trying to guess. But there is really only two people that matter in this, that is president xi and myself. We get along well and i cannot imagine he likes me the way he did when i became president. It has been a rough time for china. China has gone down many trillions of dollars and we have gone up in trillions of dollars. Since i have been elected, many trillions of dollars have been increased, if you call it value, you could call it work or value of our country. We have increased the stock market, the economy is bigger and stronger. I believe my opponent, if my opponent had gotten in, we wouldve had a slide. I only look at my numbers from the day after the election, because it was euphoria when i was elected and we picked up a tremendous amount from the ninth of november to january 20 when we had the inauguration. It has been that way ever since. It has been a fantastic thing. But china wants to make a deal badly and if we can make a deal, we will make a deal. There is a really good chance. What about the attorney general pres. Trump i am about the report . Leaving that to the attorney general, a highly respected man. Very highly principled man. I did read the comey reports. And i think it says a lot to the attorney general that he decided not to prosecute. Most people reading that report would have done that, that was horrible for comey. He is a highly principled man and i am leaving that to him. What did you say to president erdogan, did you promise him anything . President trump he has been saying this for many years before me. He is ready to do it. They have been fighting so long. This is like israel and the palestinians. Only one difference, the hatred is greater. Hatred a very serious that has come over many years. Helped thehe kurds u. S. Defeat isis, and by offensive, does it deter forming alliances . Aresdent trump alliances very easy, and our alliances have taken advantage of us when you look at how much money we spend on nato, and europe is a bigger beneficiary. We are many miles away. Our alliances have taken advantage of us. I got them to pay 100 billion more. Of President Trump, other countries, not including us pay over 100 billion more. That is nothing compared to the numbers you are talking about. I am very happy with that. The United States is paying over 4 , and germany is paying 1 , a tiny bit more. Many ways,k at it probably less than 1 . Than whatying less they are supposed to. Countries, 20 are delinquent. They are delinquent with their payment, theyll us a tremendous amount of money and they never pay us back. If germany does not pay, they just say that is ok. It, they back, you owe go on to the next year. Hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars. The kurds are fighting for their land. Somebody wrote a powerful article today. They did not help us in the Second World War or normandy, they mentioned names of different battles. Their land is a different thing. We have spent tremendous amounts inmoney on helping the kurds terms of ammunition, weapons, money, pay. With all of that being said, we like the kurds. You have different factions in there. Andis a different section, they worked with us. We have spent they are fighting for their land when you say they are fighting with us, but if we go on the theory that some folks in washington with the militaryindustrial take a look at dwight eisenhower, he had it figured right many years ago. They like fighting. They make a lot of money when they fight, but it was time to bring ourselves back home. ,he hardest thing i have to do much harder than the witchhunt is signing letters to parents of soldiers who have been killed. , there isonly that not a lot of upside, in many cases only downside. In a blueers killed on green attack, that is where a soldier being trained turns his gun on an american soldier. Here, take your gun, you know how to use it, and he shoots we have many in afghanistan. The hardest thing i have to do is signing those letters. Each letter is different. Last week i signed five of them for afghanistan and one in iraq, one in syria from two weeks ago. Sometimes i see the parents. I go to dover when i can, but it is so devastating for the parents. That boy oring young woman out of the back of those big powerful planes in a coffin, and the parents are there, we have people who do that, they accommodate everybody. They do an incredible job. The parents seem to be ok, i get there early. The parents seem to be ok. The way they are talking, they are really ok. You never know until the back of that cargo plane opens up, and they walked down holding a or five greatur soldiers on each side representing our various sources. You never know. I see people smiling, mr. President , thank you for being here. I think they are doing great. 20 minutes later when that plane ,ulls up, that door comes down and they are walking to the insidewith their boy this coffin with an American Flag over the top, and they walked in down the ramp, and i i did notpeople, understand how they take it so well. They scream. Like i have never seen anything before. Sometimes they will run to the coffin. They run through military barriers and jump on top of the coffin. Crying, mothers and wives crying desperately. These endless wars that never stop. There is a time and a place, but it is a time to stop. Last friday i went to walter reed and i gave five purple hearts to incredible young men. Beating, Beautiful People took a beating. One could not be there because the beating was so great he was in a different part of the world, he lost a leg and an arm, tremendous damage beyond what these young folks went through. For me, it is very hard when i see that. It is easy to talk tough, all these tough guys, lets keep fighting. To go to walter reed where they do unbelievable these doctors are unbelievable. In the world, est i have never seen anything like it. Theyg man last week said he was in a thousand pieces. I said, where we you hurt . He said, my face, sir, almost obliterated. I said, you have a better face than i do. He said he had a doctor who put it together. He said a thousand fragments, i do not know if that was possible. They put it together. Said, ther was crying and my son did not have a great nose, and now it is better. When you see these and the purple heart, i see a lot of them, the job those doctors do at walter reed is something to be commended. Thank you all very much.
