When i started voting, i registered unaffiliated and i have never been affiliated with a party until 2018 when we had a Gubernatorial Race in connecticut and i wanted to participate in our primary, so i registered with the party. I was going to change back to unaffiliated after that was over and when i heard governor bill weld was going to challenge President Trump in the republican primary, i went down to the town hall and i changed my partys affiliation to republican and i will be participating in the primary. I will be voting for bill weld. At the other two candidates, i am not interested in at all and if it had not been a quality person like him, i dont think i would have done this. I dont know what i am going to do in the general election, but ope every other state has eligible voters have the opportunity to do what i am doing. Some of the state foregoing the nomination process have done so during reelection bids of president s when barack obama was seeking a second turn second term. Kansas did not have a primary in 1996 and Public Officials announced they have long chosen to forego primaries during a sitting incumbents reelection year. His statesick noted decided not to hold republican president ial primaries in 1984 when Ronald Reagan was running for reelection or 2004 when george w. Bush was seeking a second term. If you are an American Worker looking for a job, this is probably the best labor market in my lifetime. We have seven point 3 million unfilled jobs, that is larger than the higher population of indiana. We have about 6 million unemployed, but if we put every unemployed american in a job we have one million jobs that we still are not able to fail. That is a good situation and it has allowed workers to pick up their wages, because if you get competition and employers need to hire people you will pay them more and you are seeing that with target, walmart, and i a lot of the retailers in the country. That is a good thing. Wages are ride is what are rising, and manufacturing is weak. Businesses,ding by which is something that i like to look at, that is down a little bit this year, and the growth rate is now down to about two. I think a lot of people would agree that china is a big problem. So, i am hopeful that we get a trade deal, because you know what is so frustrating . If President Trump and president xi would sit down. China will have to make concessions, we cannot live with the current situation. We lower our tariffs and they lower their tariffs, that would be great for both countries. I think the economy would explode. I think trump is surprised at how hard it is to get the government of beijing to make a deal. I do think the idea that this was going to be easy was wrong, because we are almost two years into this trade war. Can you talk about the history of the Cherokee Nation and how we got a delegate from the Cherokee Nation to congress . Guest i will start with the 1835 treaty. The removal treaty. It contains a specific provision that expressly states that we should have a delegate in the u. S. House of representatives whenever Congress Makes provisions. In earlier treaty speaks about a deputy. But the 1835 treaty is most clear. The last treaty we had with the United States was 1836 where we are permed affirmed the prior treaties. Both were ratified by the senate and signed by president andrew jackson. That is the background and the basis for the treaty. Fast forward to the cherokee constitution that has a provision that requires the principal chief to appoint a delegate to serve in the u. S. House of representatives for the council to confirm that delegate. Chief appointed me and the Council Unanimously confirmed me. There working with delegation in congress to try to figure out a framework. Host have you been formally seated in a count guest we are worked in congress . We are educating members of congress. I hope that congress can swiftly provide a legislative response if that portion of the law were declared unconstitutional. The other piece is our Health Care Facilities are crumbling. There is a huge backlog on construction. Upting construction dollars so that hospitals have a chance at better quality of Health Care Delivery to their citizens we have been fortunate that we worked closely with the Indian Health service and we have a joint venture with them and we also have the largest outpatient facility that is being constructed. With the help of Indian Health service Health Service and congress, we are seeking federal appropriations, but we do not have the ability to enter a joint venture where the federal government provides funding for operations.
