Thank you very much for being here. With a very to be important man in guatemala, the minister. We are doing a very important signing, its a historic Asylum Agreement between our two countries, a very important event. Been working with guatemala and know we can do it the right way. It is going to be terrific for them and terrific for the unit states. This landmark agreement will put the coyotes and the smugglers out of business, these are bad people, bad, sick, deranged, people who make a lot of money off other peoples misery. It is going to provide safety for legitimate asylumseekers and stop asylum fraud and abuses. Transformative in the steps it will take and the many steps it will take for security, safety, for guatemala it signifies the incredible Bright Future for their country. This agreement will usher in a new era of industrial growth for their nation and sets the stage for cooperation between our access toin expanding the h2 a visa, which is your Agricultural Workers and farmworkers who are going to be coming into our country in an easier fashion then even before, very important for business, for farms, for ranches. A muchgoing to make that easier, less cumbersome program. And further, bilateral investment will take place that the h2 a will really be streamlined, and all of those workers, we want them to continue to come in. We have a very low rate of unemployment, recordsetting, we are at about 3. 5 , 3. 6 , i hear it is going down, probably will because the country is doing tremendous business. Another record stock market. Today we are sending a clear message to human smugglers and traffickers that your day is over and we are investing in the future of guatemala, the safety of migrants and their families. We will protect the rights of those with legitimate claims and will end the widespread abuse of the system and the crippling crisis on our border. I want to thank mexico, as you government, xican the president of mexico has now. 1,000 troops on their border they have about 6000 on our they areborder, getting close to 20,000 by itself and it will probably be soldiers000 people inside this incredible impact. If you look at what has happened over the last year, it has really been great. If the democrats would sign something it would be a lot easier but we have to do it around the democrats because they refuse to want to close up the borders, they want open borders, that means smugglers, it means hijackers, it means drugs, it means crime, it is frankly a disgrace. With guatemala, with mexico, with other countries that will be signing agreements very shortly, we are doing very well. President ofnk the guatemala, please give him my regards, and thank you very much, hes a terrific guy. We like him very much and we have worked together really, really well. If you two gentlemen would sit down, and you will sign, i will stand right behind you. This way i will confirm it. Ok. Thing. s a very big very important signature. Never been done before. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Appreciate it. Much. You very thank you all very much. Luck, we have been dealing for many years, i would say, with guatemala and with other countries. Where wew at a point just get along and they are doing what we have asked them to do and i think it is going to be a great thing for guatemala. They dont want these problems either. We are able to get this done and we got it done fairly quickly. S is after many years mexico also is working along with us nicely, tremendously. You will see a chart where the numbers are really through the floor because they are going down. Maybe you want to speak to the numbers on terms of apprehensions . Since the agreement was signed with mexico that you energized and drove we had 20 reduction in june and we are headed for another 22 in july. 43 overall thanks to the effort of the government of mexico and the implementation of migrant protection protocols. And the fact that they do have big slowdowns coming in from guatemala at the border, because we have 6000 mexican troops at the border of guatemala. This is something that is going to be incredible. We could really do this in a much easier fashion if we had cooperation from the democrats. We have absolutely no cooperation. Nobody can understand it. Most of these people five years ago all want to the wall and were building a lot of wall right now, a lot of it. We have ripped down old wall and ripped down wall that didnt even exist, bad footing and bad foundation, there used to be a wall there, it was gobbled up by the people that crossed. We are building a beautiful new wall and it is getting built rapidly. A lot of things are happening but this is a very big day. The main focus of the democrats today was [indiscernible] disgrace withs a the democrats are doing. See how they are impeding all of the good things were doing, like as an example, today it is the border. We are strengthening up our border with a great country, and we have of the great countries that are going to be signing on also. We are doing this all because the democrats want give us what we need, so simple, get rid of the loopholes, work on asylum, it would take a very short period of time, they wont do it. All they want to do is impede. They want to investigate. They want to go fishing. I watched bob mueller and they have nothing. Theres no collusion, theres no extraction, they have nothing. Its a disgrace. We want to find out what happened with the last democrats president s, lets look into obama the way theyve looked at me from day one, theyve looked into everything weve done they could look into the book deal that president obama made. Lets subpoena all of his records. Lets subpoena all of the records having to do with Hillary Clinton and all of the nonsense with clinton and her foundation and everything else. We could do that all day long. Frankly the republicans were gentlemen and women. When we had the majority in the house, they didnt do subpoenas all day long, they didnt do what these people have done. What they are doing is a disgrace. So destructive to our country. And i think that is why we are going to take back the house, that is why we are easily going to hold the presidency, and we are going to continue to hold the senate. People dont say we picked up two seats in the senate, we went from 51 to 53. Nobody says it. They talk about the house. And i didnt get that campaign very much for the house, i couldnt because we were campaigning for the senate. We almost picked up five seeds so its a disgrace that they are doing it, they are doing it for political reasons and many of them are admitting that, its politics, and frankly its a very sad thing for our country. Yes. [indiscernible] well, we are looking at the whole turkey situation. They have ordered 100,000 fighter jets, billions of billions of dollars, the planes made, they are easily sold to other nations because they are the greatest fighter jets in the world, and we have a backlog of orders, but its a tough situation. Everything else, you just get this equipment and generally speaking you can order equipment i dont blame turkey because there are a lot of circumstances and a lot of problems that occur and it dates back to the Obama Administration which was a disaster. [indiscernible] i think i would ask kevin and asked the relationship has been very good. , we have been working on this they have demonstrated a tremendous equipment helping to take responsibility for migrant flows and working together with the United States and how we can take the power away from the criminal organizations that are exploiting these vulnerable migrants. We stayed with it and got over the line. I would say that guatemala is definitely clear on the responsibility that it has. We are clear that we have to make changes. The way they do it is working together with our best allies. We are definitely committed to continuing what we have. [indiscernible] no, they didnt say that. [indiscernible] so let the court said, which is a provisional injunction, was basically defined the process which has to be followed. Mentioned, itry defined how to do that procedure, and we are going to implement it. [indiscernible] can you explain how this will work . If someone has for guatemala a lot of good things happen. Go ahead. This is a return to the appropriate approach under International Law to protecting asylumseekers at the earliest possible point to their journey. If you have a hundred family or in el salvador national, instead of having them pay a smoker to come all the way to the border to seek asylum, when they arrive in guatemala, they are in a country that has a fair proceeding for assessing asylum claims, and that is where they should make the claim. [indiscernible] they can make a protection claim if they would like in guatemala. If they arrive in the u. S. Not having avail themselves of the opportunity, they will be returned to guatemala. Its a claim for protection under International Offer asylum. Which weve never had before, and which is something that is so good, good for everybody. [indiscernible] well, we have a great agreement with mexico, but we will probably do some additional work on it because we cant get anything from the democrats. Dealing with mexico is really what mexico is doing for us at the border is far greater than. What the amazing thing, everything was great for five years ago and now they think we are going to win so they are doing everything they can with the impeachment nonsense. No obstruction, no collusion. Obstruction is interesting. They have interviewed 500 people, they have interviewed lawyers. They have interviewed everybody they want us to interview. People that i could have kept back by using president ial privilege. I could have kept back everybody. I gave them total then they say obstruction. These people are clowns. The democrats are clowns. The democrats are clowns. They are being laughed at all over the world, and i left this morning, i watched nancy pelosi try to get through that with the performance that Robert Mueller put on. Readnot think they ever the agreement or the document, and the document says no collusion, no crime. They say well, there was no crime, but he obstructed. Actually, it was worse than that, because it was a phony crime, what they put on. For twoandahalf years, i have watched this, and that is the best they have, and it is a disgrace, and the world is laughing at them, and it is so bad for our country, so bad for our relationships with other countries, including russia. There is no reason we should not get along with russia. One of the things that is nice guatemala is we have a Good Relationship with them, and it is happening with mexico, too, we never had any kind of cooperation with mexico, er, until this presidency and my presidency, 25,000,u have maybe could be 26,000 soldiers, and they are killing, they are getting rid of the cartels, which Everybody Knows they have been running big portions of mexico, and the coyotes and all of these terrible people, the president has done a great job for these people, and president morale is has done a great job in doing this, because now he has a friend in the United States instead of an enemy of the United States. Thank you, sir. [inaudible] pres. Trump i might. I might. Ax on ourt a t companies. You know that. Wrong thing to do. I always liked american wines better than french wines, even though i do not drink wine. I just like the way they look. [laughter] pres. Trump but american wines are great. Andican wines are great, they did not do the right thing, when they start taxing our companies. We tax our companies, they do not tax our companies. I told them dont do that, because a few do that, i will tax your wines, tariffs, whatever you want. [inaudible] pres. Trump good. I just spoke to him. I have a Good Relationship with president macron, but they should not have done this. They are used to taking advantage of the United States, but not with me as president. I look at what other president s have done with this country, and what they havee, allowed to happen. China for years and years was making 300 billion to 507 billion a year, ok . Billions ofaking in dollars from china, and it is all turning around, whether a deal is made, they are going next week, meeting after meeting, i do not think, personally, china would sign a deal. If i had a 2 chance of winning the election, maybe china would say lets wait, maybe trump will lose, and we can get with another dope and allow this powerful thing to happen to our country. Because what has happened to our country, the money that china has taken out of the United States has rebuilt china, and i do not blame china, i blame the United States for allowing that to happen, so if i am president iran, if i am, frankly, and iran wants to make a deal, i will to you that now, i would say i will hold out, will wait for sleepy jill biden instead of i can dod sleepy joe, whatever i want with him, no matter what happens. [inaudible] pres. Trump we will be announcing it sometime fairly soon. We will see what happens. But they put a tax on. We said dont do it. We tax our companies, you dont tax our companies. It will be reciprocal. It is a reciprocal tax, and we will be announcing that fairly soon. , john. It makes sense, john. Do you agree with that . You are a man who enjoys wine. You just wont enjoy french one anymore. They are great, i agree. [inaudible] pres. Trump they will be going. [inaudible] pres. Trump no, i am never, i think that china will probably say lets wait. It is 14, 15 months until the election. Lets see if one of these people that give the United States a way, lets see if one of them could possibly be elected, and i went,ou what, when i almost immediately, they will sign deals, and they will be for theal deals country. I do not know if they will make a deal. Maybe they will. Maybe they wont. I dont care, because we are taking it tens of billions of dollars worth of tariffs, and i gave them 16 billion added to tariffs and had a tremendous amount of money left over, as you know, like three times. And we have not even taxed china yet compared to what i could do, so we have tens of billions of dollars rolling in from china. We never had . 10 coming in. And i do not blame president xi. I blame our past leaders for allowing it to happen for so many years with the wto. China was totally fly line, and when the world trade came about and china joined the world trade, they became a rocket, because, you know, it was a very unfair situation thats took place at , soworld trade organization we will see. I do not personally care that much, because we are getting billions and billions of dollars. Remember, people are paying for it. China devalued their currency, and they are pumping money into their society, into their country like you would not believe, because of quantitative easing. For us, we have a fed that does quantitative tightening, and they raise interest rates. President obama had no rates and he had no ties may, and we still have a much better economy than in his wildest dreams. So and there is something ok about that, but the fed acted too soon. I turned out to be. They acted too soon into violently. Increases, i believe, you will check that, a couple under her, a lot under powell. I am not a fan. Ok, what else. The u. S. Dollar, too high, too low . Pres. Trump well, the dollar is very strong. The country is very strong. It is a beautiful thing in one way, and it makes it hard to compete, despite that we have a powerful dollar, that is the good news despite that, we are doing really well. It has become, more than ever before, the currency of choice. Tried to cut injured the euro is not doing so well. Europe is not doing so well. China is not doing so well. Countries, weher are the hottest economic country in the world. It is not even close. Even guatemala wants to do business with us. Consider ou not pres. Trump i could do that in two seconds if i wanted to. I did not say i would not doing something. Look, having a strong dollar, there is a reason why it sounds so good, and having a strong dollar is having a strong dollar. We have an amazing country, a strong country. That is where our country has a strong currency. Other countries have a currency that is down the tubes. It is a currency that is weak. Chinas currency is low. Look at europe, the euro is so low. Germany is paying almost no interest. We are paying 2. 1 . We are paying a lot of interest, because we have a strong currency. It is a very complicated formula for some people. It is not complicated for me. Thefederal reserve raised race too fast and too soon, and they should not have done quantitative tightening, which they did. If they did not do that, we would be at 4. 5 instead of 2. 1 . Everyone is so thrilled with two port 1 . Much more if had not for the federal reserve, and we could have been five to 10 in the doubt. I do not want to sound too upset about it, because we just broke in alltime recor history with the doubt, but we could have been higher. Contender, been a could have been higher, as marlon would say, the great marlon brando. [inaudible] pres. Trump well, you said it, the shortrange missiles, and my relationship is very good with chairman kim, and we will see what happens. But they are short range, and many people have those missiles. [inaudible] pres. Trump nope, not at all. [inaudible] well, he did not say a warning to the United States, i can tell you that. He did not say a warning to the United States, but there have been disputes, the two of them have been disputes. They have been for a long time, but he did not say that. Shortrange missiles and very standard missiles. [inaudible] pres. Trump yes, very good question. It is the best question you ever asked. You know what your timing is good . Because i spoke to him about how long have you been here . 16 minutes . I spoke to him 17 minutes ago. I hung up the phone with him as you are coming in. He is a great guy. I think we will have a great relationship. Boris will be a great prime minister. I think he has what it takes. Long time. Him for a the uks needed him for a long time, so we will see what happens. He and i will spend a lot of time we just spent a lot of time when i was with the queen, one of the great most couple of ever had, she is a tremendous woman. Incredible woman. We get along very well. Boris and i just spoke. I congratulated him, and he is all set to go. I think he will do a great job. We are working already on a trade agreement, and i think it will be a very substantial trade agreement. We can do, with the u. K. , we could do three to four times as we were actually in by the relationship with the european union. We were heard much impeded on trade, and i think we can do three to 4, 5 times we do not do the kind of trade we could do with what some people say is great britain, and some people remember a word you do not hear too much is the word england, which is a piece of it, but with the u. K. , we could do much, much more trade, and we expect to do that, ok . [inaudible] pres. Trump apple. Well, i want apple to build their plants in the United States. I do not want them to build in china. When i heard there were going to build a china, i said it is ok, you can build in china, but when you send your products into the United States, were going to tarifff you. A man i have a lot of respect for is tim cook. I think they will build in texas. If they do that, i am starting to get very happy. Elected one site today with honduras, the most popular pres. Trump i do. I do indeed. Do you think it will be soon . Pres. Trump pretty soon. I mean, we will get a quick agreement. I just want to end up by saying guatemala has been really a pleasure to deal with, and we will have a great relationship for many years to come, and i would like to please extend my warmest regards to the people of guatemala. Thank you very much. Thank you. [inaudible] pres. Trump what . Are you planning on working vacations . Pres. Trump by the way, bedminster is not a vacation. When i go to manhattan, i stay at trump tower, and i have to close up the whole city of manhattan, so i go to bedminster, which is a beautiful place, but it is never a vacation. It is working. [inaudible] pres. Trump i hope not, because i like working. I would rather be right here, you know. But probably over a short period of time. A lot of time to go, and they do a lot of work in the white house , for instance, the Obama Administration worked out a brandnew airconditioning system for the west wing, and it was so good before they did the system. Now that they did the system, it is freezing or hot in here. Yes . Will you be spending an extended period of time working in bedminster . Pres. Trump not extended, but meaning less than a week. But i do that come officially, just to put on record, i do that because when i pu go into like, tower, they close at, 10 blocks around the city, manhattan, and i do not want to inconvenience people. But bedminster, everybody command works out much easier. It is a much easier thing. I would like to go to manhattan, but i do not like seeing the city closed up. I have had to suffer living in manhattan, i would have to suffer greatly as president s would come in and come out, and the entire city would be shut down, so i guess i understand it better than most. [inaudible] pres. Trump we have the g7 coming up, yes. I look forward to it. It will be in france. [inaudible] this is a stop we did not have planned right here in the oval office, right . With guatemala. And again, thank you ray much, enrique. Ch, thank you ray much. Pres. Trump maybe before. All right, guys.
