Owen Sound has become a more crypto-friendly community with the recent launch of Grey-Bruce’s first Bitcoin ATM.
The kiosk, which allows people to buy or sell the cryptocurrency for cash, was installed April 14 at Central Variety on 8th Street East.

David Sheffield, whose Owen Sound-based Sheffield Software Solutions is managing the machine on behalf of North Bay’s Crypto-Kiosk, said he’s thrilled to have a Bitcoin ATM, also known as a BTM, in Owen Sound as it will make the digital currency more accessible to area residents.
