A former cruise ship crooner accused of throwing his NRL cheerleader girlfriend off a Gold Coast high-rise balcony will stand trial for her alleged murder.
Jayden Moorea, previously known as Dan Shearin, was committed for trial on Friday after a two-week hearing in Southport Magistrates Court.
The 47-year-old former cruise ship entertainer was charged with murder and damaging evidence over the death of his girlfriend, Breeana Robinson, 21, in January 2013.
Ms Robinson, a Gold Coast Titans cheerleader, plunged to her death from the 11th floor of the unit she and Moorea shared in Southport's H20 building.
