Cross from vanished seminary finds new home in West Fargo

Copper-clad symbol replaces wooden cross toppled in windstorm.

WEST FARGO — In the spring of 2020, a wooden cross that stood for decades in the prayer garden of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in West Fargo was knocked over in a windstorm.
Mary Beth Odegaard, administrative secretary at the church, knew of a parishioner who is good at woodworking, so one Sunday she asked John Mrozla if he would help rebuild the wooden cross that had fallen down.
