Crook County middle, high schoolers returning to full-time in-person classes Jan. 26
Vaccine drive planned Jan. 25; younger students back since September with no cases reported
PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The last time middle and high school students in the Crook County School District saw their peers and teachers on a daily basis was March of last year, before the COVID-19 pandemic closed schools in Oregon.
Ten months later, Crook County Middle School and Crook County High School will switch from the current Blue-Gold hybrid model to full-time on Tuesday, Jan. 26.
“This is a monumental moment for our school district, and we’re one of the first districts in the state to return all students full time,” said Superintendent Dr. Sara Johnson. “Our goal since September was to open our schools and provide in-person instruction, as long as public health experts said it was safe, and our team has proven that it’s possible to serve students successfully during a pandemic.”
