Raleigh, N.C. — Rescue crews rescued a man and his dog, who were stuck on the roof of a car in the Neuse River Friday.
Sky 5 flew over the scene before 8:45 a.m., where a man was standing on his car in the river near Mial Plantation Road in the Knightdale area.
Video shows rescuers in inflatable boats helping the man and his pet off the car and into the raft. By 9 a.m., the man and rescuers were off the boat and on dry land.
Skid marks beside the river indicate that the man lost control of his car and plowed into the river before floating away from land. It was not clear how long the man was in the water before he was rescued.
