Crest graduate says goodbye to his second family
For some, saying goodbye to high school means moving on from just another building.
For Elisha Wellmon, saying goodbye to Crest High School is like parting with family. A member of the school's class of 2021, Wellmon has been coming to Crest since he was still a child.
For much of his life Wellmon's mother, Brenda, was a history teacher at Crest. Growing up, Wellmon said he would take a school bus over to the high school to meet her before going home for the day.
"I've been coming to Crest High School for 15, 16 years now," he said. "I know everybody. I knew the teachers, the students... I've seen people come here as interns and become teachers."
