Cox Mill rallies past West Henderson volleyball in 3A playoffs

Concord, N.C. — A match played as closely as the N.C. High School Athletic Association's 3A West regional semifinal between West Henderson and host Cox Mill should be diagnosed with separation anxiety.
If one of the two teams, who account for half of the last four 3A West champions (Cox Mill won the state championship in 2016, while West Henderson was the state runner-up in 2019), got too big of a lead on the other, the gap closed quickly.
