However, over the past 14 days, it has averaged 6.31%, above the 5% health officials say is needed to stop the spread of the virus.
5.51% — County’s daily positivity rate. Unlike the state, the county’s rate has dropped to the same level or below on two other days this month. Over the past two weeks, it has averaged 6.6%.
3,956 — Patients hospitalized statewide for treatment of COVID-19. It is the first time fewer than 4,000 people have been hospitalized since Nov. 28.
