HENDERSON, Ky. — Henderson County recorded seven new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Friday as reported by the Green River District Health Department.
An earlier death of a Henderson County resident was determined to be COVID-related based on a state audit of death certificates. The death was the 76th in the county since March 2020 attributed to COVID-19.
Overall, the GRDHD reported 33 new cases in its seven-county district on Friday with 18 of those in Daviess County. McLean County had three cases, Webster County and Hancock County had two apiece, while Ohio County had one. Union County did not report any new cases.
The incidence rate, which measures the average daily cases per 100,000 population over the past seven days, dropped to 13.5 for Henderson County as of Thursday afternoon and held the county in the "orange" or accelerated level. Webster County is also in the "orange" level at 12.1, while Union County remained in the "yellow" or community spread level at 4.0.
