COVID cases up since last Wareham Board of Health meeting
WAREHAM – COVID cases have gone up markedly since the previous Board of Health meeting last month.
Health Director Bob Ethier said during Wednesday's meeting that the latest weekly tally was 77 confirmed cases and seven probable cases, which represented an uptick.
That’s 31 more cases than the last weekly tally presented to the board on March 17. There have been 1,616 confirmed cases in Wareham since March 2020.
On the positive side, Wareham Housing Authority residents have been getting vaccinated through the state and WHA director. “They’re all set” at the WHA’s two residential complexes, Ethier said.
