The Upper Thumb continued its trend up Tuesday as it saw an additional 61 coronavirus reported by the state March 16.
Coronavirus cases in Huron County and around the Upper Thumb have been on the upswing in the past two weeks. Nearing the end of February, the Upper Thumb, much like the rest of the state, was seeing small daily increases in cases often reporting single-digit gains. However, starting in the beginning of March the case counts increased to double digits several days of the week for each county, resulting in gains comparable to December 2020 and January 2021, prior to the state reducing pandemic restrictions.
