Former Commons Speaker Betty Boothroyd has accused the government of treating the elderly like “guinea pigs” after the second dose of her Covid vaccine was delayed.
Baroness Boothroyd, 91, turned up at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge on Monday demanding answers about why her second appointment had been cancelled with only days notice.
She told
Sky News: “I’m very cross. I’m cross not only for myself, I’m not only annoyed for myself, as I say I’m annoyed because we are the forgotten army.
