A DISTRICT nurse has become the first frontline worker to get the Covid-19 jab locally as the fightback against the virus begins.
Carol Connelly, a care home liaison nurse, has looked after the most vulnerable patients during the pandemic and is desperate to play her part.

A huge logistical operation was in full swing at the Larkfield Unit, with all hands on deck.
Immediately after her vaccination Carol spoke to the Tele.
She said: "I am smiling under my mask!
"It was just like the flu vaccination, I didn't feel a thing.
