New Jersey could receive thousands of doses of the coronavirus vaccine by Monday, though the exact amount is not known.
Anywhere from 76,000 to 460,000 doses could arrive between next week and early January with health care workers and people in long-term care facilities prioritized for the first round. Both the Moderna and Pfizers vaccine require two doses, which are for adults who are not pregnant.
“I would hope people realize overwhelming that it’s safe, it works,” Go. Phil Murphy said Wednesday. “Help is coming, however, but this is not a light switch.”
