COVID-19 Update: Active cases decrease across GLOW region

BATAVIA — A total of 319 active COVID-19 cases was reported Thursday in the GLOW region.
The number represents a decrease from Wednesday, when 357 active cases were reported. In the meantime, 47 new cases and 68 new recoveries were reported.
Here’s a county-by-county look at the data:
Genesee County on Thursday reported seven new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 5,068 cases since the pandemic arrived in the region in March 2020.
The individuals are under the age of 20 and in their 40s, 50s and 60s. The new cases include people in the county’s eastern, and central regions.
New York state continues to report a total of 121 COVID-19-related deaths in Genesee County.
