Press release from the Humboldt County Joint Information Center:
A Humboldt County resident in their 60s has died with COVID-19. Humboldt County Public Health and the Emergency Operations Center extend their sympathies to the person’s friends, loved ones and all who are mourning the loss.
Nine additional cases of the virus were recorded today, and one previously reported case was determined to be a duplicate and removed. A total of 4,442 county residents have tested positive for the virus. Two new hospitalizations also were reported today, one resident in their 60s and another over the age of 80.
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) today retired the “Blueprint for a Safer Economy.” CDPH reported Humboldt County’s final adjusted case rate as 5.1 per 100,000 residents and positivity rate as 5%. To reflect changes made by the state, the “Community Risk Level” section of the Humboldt County Data Dashboard — including adjusted case rate and positivity rate — has been removed.
