The COVID-19 pandemic is hitting Vancouver’s hospitality industry harder now than at anytime during the health crisis.
According to Vancouver Coastal Health, 12 restaurants were ordered closed over a 10-day period from March 26 to April 4 due to either virus exposure or for violating public-health measures meant to help contain the spread of COVID-19. It’s the largest cluster of health-ordered restaurant closures in the city since the beginning of the pandemic.
