BRANCH COUNTY — It will be June before the Branch County Planning Commission can act on a proposed final draft of its update of the 1993 county Master Plan.
According to consultant Patrick Hudson, of the Southcentral Michigan Planning Council, one issue hampering the work is lack of 2020 census information.
The plan will tell “where are we now and where are we going,” Hudson said of his work. “They cut so much out of the census, it doesn’t tell us what we really need to know.”
The only information released so far is the number of people in each census district used for legislative redistricting.
