With COVID-19 vaccines in B.C. in short supply for those aged 40 and up and unavailable for most who are younger, many people in this province are looking south to Washington state as a potential source for the doses they desire.
The state’s vaccination campaign is limited to those who live or work in the state, but it is not restricted to U.S. citizens and it relies to some extent on an honours system. As Len Saunders, an immigration lawyer in Blaine will tell you, vaccines in Washington are as plentiful as candy, and getting a shot may prove as easy as hopping on a plane and finding a willing pharmacy.
