THE following cases were heard at Peterlee and Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Courts in the last week.
ANTHONY JOHN GILLAN, 34, was ordered to pay £150 compensation after he damaged a police cell on January 16, 2021. On the same day the Teesdale Walk, Shildon resident, assaulted a detention officer. Gillan indicated a plea of guilt was fined £400 and ordered to pay £100 compensation. He was also made to pay a £40 victim surcharge and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
REBECCA ALLISON, of Mossway, Pelton, assaulted a police officer on January 24, of this year. The 24-year-old indicated a plea of guilt and was ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge and £85 court fee.
