Human rights activist, Sesugh Akume has applied before the Benue State High Court, to enter judgement in the suit seeking the order of court to declare the removal of the elected local government chairmen in the state by Governor Hyacinth Alia, as a coup d'etat. In a release on Thursday, the Applicant (Akume) said that following the failure, neglect or refusal of the Respondents to respond to the suit and having been out of time to do so, his lawyers have applied to the court to proceed and enter judgement in his favour.
