The Maryland Court of Special Appeals last week overturned the conviction of a man accused of helping to kill two Northwest High School students in June 2017.
Rony Galicia, now 28, was accused of murder, conspiring to commit murder, armed robbery and the use of a handgun in the commission of a crime of violence with three others to kill Shadi Ali Najjar, 17, and Artem Ziberov, 18, on June 5, 2017.
The teens were lured to the scene, under the impression they would sell an extra graduation ticket. But authorities have said the killings were retaliation against Najjar for stealing marijuana.
