A federal district judge today dismissed a lawsuit filed by seven Alabama residents against Gov. Kay Ivey and public health officer Scott Harris over mitigation measures aimed at stemming the spread of COVID-19, including the mask order.
U.S. District Judge W. Keith Watkins dismissed the lawsuit as a “shotgun pleading” - a legal complaint that sets forth an excessive number of facts with no clear organization, asserting that these facts caused an outcome.
