County-run homeless shelter in Kearny remains open, law enforcement to provide rides

“Due to the winter storm & state of emergency, transportation now suspended to the HudCo Homeless warming center for today, Feb. 1, 2021. The warming center remains open.Please contact local law enforcement to provide transportation to the warming center,” the Hudson County government tweeted minutes ago.
The shelter, located at 53 Hackensack Ave., is one of several announced locations ahead of today’s first big snow fall of the year that has already brought down about six inches in most parts in Hudson County.
Additionally, Union City has announced warming center locations at City Hall and the Bruce Walter Recreation Center, West New York provided five separate locations: 515 54th St., 430 62nd St., 6100 Adams St., 6300 Adams St., and 5800 Jefferson St.
