JOHNSTOWN — The Fulton County Planning Board recently recommended certain vegetation and soil stipulations for a proposed solar project off Route 30 in the town of Perth.
The board recently approved the largest solar project ever in the county off Bishop Road. But this project is a different smaller one, albeit also in Perth.
County consultant Sean Geraghty told the planning board that property owner Adelbert Pooler is doing a 3.5 megawatt solar farm along the east side of Route 30. The project currently has a special permit application before the Perth Town Planning Board.
Geraghty said Pooler has a parcel of about 27 acres the solar operation would lie on.
