Phillips 66 Refinery Map
The regularly scheduled meeting of the Stephens County Commissioners met Monday, Dec. 14, when county leaders discussed the refinery project with representatives from Phillips 66.
Phillips 66 Program Manager Tom Wynn and Amy Brittain, with Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality, were among representatives in the meeting.
Brittian works in the Remediation Program at DEQ and has been involved with the project since 2002. Brittain said they have worked on this project with Phillips 66 for a while.
According to Brittain, they are looking at the impoundment in the remaining area in the southeastern corner of the site.
âWeâve been looking at that over the last year,â Brittain said. âHow can that best be addressed. And after careful consideration between Phillips and the agency, we think that we need to have an interim action that Tomâs going to explain for now, before we can figure out a final way weâre going to deal with these impoundments, because theyâre very complicated.â
