Country music star Charley Pride dies from coronavirus complications

Country music star Charley Pride dies from coronavirus complications
Country music legend Charley Pride died on Saturday at the age of 86 from coronavirus complications.
Public relations firm 2911 Media confirmed the singer's death in a statement, adding that the music legend passed away in Dallas.
Pride's death comes one month after his last performance, on Nov. 11 at the Country Music Awards, where he received a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Born in Sledge, Miss., on March 18, 1934, Pride was country music's first Black superstar and the first Black member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.
