WEST SALEM, Wis. (WKBT) – The first band hits the Country Boom stage on Thursday.
Crews are working to get stages and tents set up for the music festival, and some campers have already moved into sites.
This week’s rain slowed down the process, but local country music fans stepped up to volunteer to get the grounds ready in time.
Organizers are excited for this weekend, especially since it’s two years in the making.
Co-founder Jon Holthaus says, “you can feel the energy out here, that’s for dang sure. People are excited to get back to these events … our veterans and everybody in the area kind of need something like this to get away a little bit to have some fun, some great music.”
