Councilman Ashby Foote is looking into possible regulations that could shutdown or limit operations at a popular nightclub plagued by recent violence.
M-Bar Sports Grill, located in Foote's northeast Jackson ward, has been under fire lately for a recent shooting death outside the club on March 21.
The shooting, which took the life of 30-year-old Christopher Moncure, is the second homicide at the club in less than a year.
Foote said he wants to know what city zoning regulations or ordinances might be enforced at the club. He said he will consider any measure that might stem the possibility of violence.
