Council explores allowing sale of New Year's fireworks Back to video
Tignanelli said the motion looks to cut red tape and give local businesses an opportunity to earn some money.
The motion refers to city bylaw 2010-146, which only allows fireworks to be sold on certain days of the year – Canada Day, Victoria Day and August Civic Holiday, as well as the seven days immediately preceding those days, including Sundays.
