A staple of Costco’s business is no more. The big box retailer has announced it’s doing away with its in-store photo centers.
Costco shoppers will no longer be able to get ink refills, passport photos, photo restoration and YesVideo Home Movie Transfer Service.
Customers will still have access to numerous online services at the Costco Photo Center website for delivery, including photo prints, stationary, photo greeting cards and books, calendars and business printing.
Camera phones have largely displaced print photography since the advent of the smartphone and social media.
Customers with outstanding orders are urged to pick them up at their local photo center by March 28th.
