Coronation Street's Johnny Connor's health is declining but it will not mean his day in court is moved.
Johnny (Richard Hawley) is currently dealing with a ton of guilt after he ran over an innocent man - who then died - while committing a crime job with Scott Emberton (Tom Roberts).
Overwhelmed with culpability he asks wife Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) to end their marriage by getting a divorce as he believes he is on the way to a long time in prison.
