Corrections: City council story; dog license vendors

The News Journal’s Friday story about Wilmington City Council regarding the 2021 election incorrectly reported that at-large council member Nick Eveland hadn’t yet responded to the News Journal. This was incorrect; he had responded and announced that he will seek re-election. We apologize for the error.
Also, the story omitted that President of Council Mark McKay will also run for re-election. We apologize for the omission.
Dog licenses
Incorrect information was submitted to the News Journal this week regarding locations to purchase dog licenses. Country View Pet Hospital and Friends Backyard Grill are not dog license vendors, according to the Clinton County Auditor’s Office.
