Coroner Says Jelani Day Drowned, But Family Believe He Was Murdered

Jelani Day, the missing Illinois State University graduate student whose body was found in the Illinois River last month, died from drowning, according to a coroner’s report released on Monday.

While the cause of death is now known, the circumstances leading to it remain a mystery.
