Coronavirus: the Glasgow areas with the most cases after Christmas Day
Coronavirus cases in Glasgow shot up by more than 80% in the week between Christmas and New Year.
Official figures show the number of positive tested cases of the virus in the city in the seven days up to January 1 was 1897.
The week before, the seven days up to December 25 the number was 1036. It represents an increase of 83% in just one week.
In Glasgow there were 31 areas were the rate was above 400 per 100,000, shown as the darkest purple on the map.
The highest number of cases were found in Braidfauld with 41 cases, and Toryglen and Oatlands with 40. Roystonhill, Blochairn and Provanmill area had 35, and Robroyston/Millerston and Penilee both had 34 cases.
