NHS Fife has confirmed there has been a "loss of life" at a Dunfermline care home after a coronavirus outbreak.
A total of six residents at the Matthew Fyfe Care Home in Dunfermline have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus and the health authority have said there has been a "loss of life" connected to the cluster.
The home is currently closed to visitors and new admissions.
The Press broke the news of the cluster yesterday (Wednesday) following a tip off from a reader and this has now been confirmed by NHS Fife 24 hours later.
A statement said: "Sadly, there has been loss of life connected to the cluster, however, the exact number is too small to release for reasons of confidentiality. Our thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones at this difficult time.
