The South African coronavirus variant is not the dominant virus circulating in the UK, according to Deputy Chief Medical Officer Jonathan Van-Tam
Amid reports that the vaccine could be less effective against the variant, Britons were told they "should not be concerned" as the strain first found in Kent remains the dominant force in the UK.
