MANSFIELD – After weeks of decline, the per capita rate of new COVID-19 cases over the last 14 days in Richland County is creeping back up.
In the last two weeks, Richland County has recorded 151 new cases, meaning there are 125 cases per 100,000 residents, as of Thursday.
To compare, the county's incidence rate — cases adjusted for population — was 111 cases per 100,000 residents on March 25, according to the state's public health advisory system, or COVID-19 heat map.
On Thursday, the overall incidence rate in Ohio was 167.1 per 100,000 residents, up from 146.9 on March 25.
Gov. Mike DeWine said he would lift all health orders at 50 new cases per 100,000 residents.
