A DRIVE to identify people who have coronavirus but show no symptoms and may be spreading it without knowing is about to start in the Kingdom.
NHS Fife and Fife Council will roll out a new Covid-19 asymptomatic community testing programme, one of the first in Scotland, aimed at finding positive cases and breaking chains of transmission.
There will be a focus on 'hotspot' areas where case numbers remain high and in locations where there is a need for more testing.
Carol Potter, the health board's chief executive, said: “This is an important expansion of testing which aims to help reduce Covid-19 rates in Fife, by identifying those who are positive cases but show no symptoms.
